If a team is -1.5, they win by 2 or more, you win, they win by 1 run, you lose.

OWNED is corect. If the line is Chicago -1.5 +157 then Chicago has to win the game by two runs for the bet to win. If you select Boston +1.5 -167 then Boston can still lose but not by more than two runs.
