SPortsbook Volume Will Be Down At Least 40% Next Year
Gone will be the exchanges, very little volume now so wait until next year
Sportsbooks in general catering to Americans will have very large drops starting this summer.
Even places like Pinny are really going to feel it.

Exchanges will be fine, might just force them to market to the Europeans who know how they work rather than Americans. Matchbook already putting up more soccer, tennis, golf than ever before.

Give me a break
Wow nice work jjgold -- are you pulling numbers out of thin air again??? Honestly I think more people are gambling on the internet every year and this bill will have NO effect on the number of people doing it from the US or elsewhere. Worst case they may have to change their deposit and withdrawal methods.

From the hip I'd say 40% off is a good estimate.
But nothing this industry has not been through before. The herd will again be thinned. Money processors will rise up and fill any void. Neteller was just an obscure tiny company that sucked hind tit to the mighty Paypal back in the day. If Neteller pulls out someone else will pull in. The show will go on.

Johhny I hope so, I want nothing more than than gambling portals and books to do well but I am a realist and one of the top ten most accurate posters ever to hit the gambling baords so I am usually pretty accurate in my predictions. It will be very difficult to get money in and out which will deter many players.

books will start to offer their own atm cards....
I wish they had done this sooner
wsex, olympic, pinny, cris,...will get many of the poker players from the pokers sites that will not accept the US residents. They will make millions more...am i right??
So, the A rated books we play at will become even stronger.....
so I dont think 40% is accurate

The top books might get even stronger. As i said before, this doesnt have to be a bad thing for us. Seriously, who needs shit places like sportsbook.com or BOS type suckers?

I think the 40% is the dip from the high to the low, not where it will stay.
Its probably even money that bet volume at this time next year will be above where it is now. This industry always finds a way.

of course volume of all books together will be lower...the question is will it be lower for places like pinny, cris or greek.
They might get new customers that dont want to play at lower shops anymore.

I'm wondering how the figure of 40% was arrived at. Was it rounding up the final calcualtion of 39.685% after extensive analysis of a number of different correlated variables or was it a case of picking the first number that came in your head?

I know many big book owners personally, they give me the numbers and once you have a place like Cris's volume it is easy to do the math and come up with the 40% figure. I do my homework.

I do believe you do your homework JJ, but to make a prediction like that is pretty amazing considering so much is up in the air right now...
