interesting story. i've always told my friends that the extra money i get from my taxes is nothing compared to what a multi-millionaire gets/saves. before the Bush tax-cuts, i generally got around $600-650 back, now i usually get $750-800. an extra couple hundred bucks is not that big of a deal to 95% of the public, which is the majority of the tax payers. but if you take that 5% that are multi-millionaires or even billionaires, and there tax savings are hundreds of thousands. that is another exotic car, a boat, a nice cabin for getaways. i can't speak for everyone, but i would guess most of the 95% of tax payers that fall into the category of getting back an extra couple hundred bucks, would rather have that money spent on education or health care. but its not going to change ,the rich will always get richer, and the poor will get poorer.
