What a story! Thank God you got part of the money back, Pags. Didn't have time to go through the whole thread (will do later) so I don't understand why you're not getting the remaining amount wagered reimbursed but I hope it will work out okay for you.
I told Live Chat once: "My question is of general interest, you don't need to know this" referring to my pw. It is secure and is the same as when you log in, just unnecessary at times.

Max,
yeah, it has been a nightmare...other than the "you are responsible for your account" statement, I'm having a tough time as well...I still can't track anyone down to get a straight answer on the IP address trace...I would think the crazy activity (casino playing, NBA wagering--ugh! two things that make me sick that I can assure you I'd never do) would be a signal it wasn't meI was told to call Anthony back in the morning...I will see what happens in my conversation with Kelly tonight...it sucks 'cause usually I am a pretty thorough guy, but we all have to take all necessary steps to protect ourselves...I have all new, lengthy, hard to figure out passwords now and have disabled the casino portion of all of my online books...it's still scary though...I only can imagine if this didn't happen with a reputable book...to me I definitely have to assume some responsibility and Cris has as well at this point...getting the remaining $68 would be ideal though...

pags, I feel your pain. The ISP will take forever. I waited for a month just to get someone on the line to tell me what was going on. When I did get someone, they didn't even trace the ISP to a person, but to a state in the US. They also gave me the you are resonsible for your account statement. There's nothing you can really do in this situation. I don't even know why people would even play in the casino in the first place. They can't even see if the games they're playing are fairly set up.

True Billie I played in the CRIS casino once... I then had it blocked after talking with Eddie.
I play black jack regularly in the states (about 3 nights a week) and if a dealer dealt me cards like I got in the casino at CRIS I would shoot him or have the gaming commision sit in on a session. I do play in the poker room there and have had some success at that.

which is why I just left Bill voicemail proposing this...when you first sign up with a book, it should ask you what particularly your interests are...meaning, if you have no interest in the first place in playing with an online casino, they should be able to block this right away...again, I didn't know this was an option...if you just want to do the sportsbook part, then that should be it...I would imagine most shady business both on the customers end and books end takes place in the online casino (like Aces talked about with the cards)...this seriously makes me sick to my stomach after all of the research and steps I've taken to protect myself...goes to show you that you always have to keep on your toes...

and on the ISP trace note, no one was able to tell me straight where the activity came from...I didn't even get a state, just a "reasonable proximity" I believe were the words Bill used on what he was told...it seems like to me they should be able to narrow it down to a city at least, especially a company like Cris with all of their high tech tools...one would think once I'm eliminated as the person that made the wagers, the decision becomes easier on whether or not I should be credited the money...

I hope things work out Pags...this is a real scary story considering Cris is a top tier book. But I hope you are able to get out of this mess
Thank God for Bill Dozer :0000007:

conversation with Kelly went well...she is going to talk with casino manager Eddie and CS Supervisor Mickey tommorrow before she leaves (she is the CS Supervisor at night I believe)...whoever told me to contact her, thank you very much...her customer service skills are outstanding and she has helped things progress in a big way...she feels confident it all will be resolved, although it still may take a couple days for them to finish the investigation to verify everything...
I want to stress that the main issue here is the customer service, or lack there of with betcris...I am confident that a company as big as they are will work to resolve security issues such as this and the one presented in the other thread regarding the cashier area of the site...I'm just not confident that all of the floor clerks and managers have been trained to handle situations such as these...
I will plan on calling Mickey sometime in the afternoon tommorrow...anyone else with any advice, please feel free...

Aces and crew,
looking better here each day...spoke with Mickey today...he faxed me a sheet showing all IP addresses coming from Reno, which is scary, because as I mentioned before it's highly unlikely someone from Reno that I know of used the account...he did mention that sometimes guys can hide or cloack IP addresses, and promised to look into it further...I also explained to him the randomness of the online casino in the 10 hour period vs. the college football bets I had made since the inception of my account...he agreed that was strange activity...I found him to be very courteous and professional and he asked that I called back tommorrow...I will speak with Kelly again tonight to keep her updated and will let you guys know what's up...

it just amazes me how intelligent these thieves are...I'm curious and will ask Mickey the specifics of the person in the online casino...as I mentioned before, did he go all in while playing poker when he didn't have a hand?...did he hit when he had 19 playing blackjack (I have been told the person was playing poker and blackjack)...I wonder if they can even go back and look at that type of stuff (I'm sure they can)...as I stated before, do all that you can to protect all account numbers, passwords etc...will call Kelly here in about 4 hours or so...
