It's Decision Time on Mansion - Is it for me?
College Football is my largest activity.
Very little NFL.Have played quite a bit of baseball this year. Reasonably vanilla, I'm not in there for 5 innings or first halfs, no teasers, I parlay heavy FAVS ML in CFB, otherwise parlay rarely, no props but an occasional future.
Pinnacle is my principle book. I have 5Dimes mainly for those parlays I mentioned, and for 1-AA CFB.
Hollywood gets an occasional play, but I usually find more attractive odds elsewhere. I have taken Canbet's recent offer and will use their 107 for what little NFL I do. Finally, I have betjamaica with their 105 juice on college sports on Friday nites. On a per game basis you would call me a small bettor, but on any given Saturday I play so many games that I likely have more at risk than players whose individual bet size is far greater than mine.
I've read about Mansion's exchange and am about to give it a try. Based on what I have written above, does anyone see any reason why I should back off and stay away ?
Thanks for your attention.

Mansion has lasted and with big limits and decent reduced juice so I would think ok for football.

I was one of Mansion's biggest fans and had them above Pinnacle on my list of outs at TheRX. With that being said, I wouldn't recommend them before many of the other books for football.
I see that you have BetJamaica but I didn't see Olympic listed. I would deposit at Olympic before Mansion for football.
Olympic and BetJamaica are two totally seperate books. Olympic just backs BetJamaica financially. You will have plenty of different lines and betting options.
Just my 2 cents...

It's impossible to tell what Mansion will be like for CFB. Hold off and if there are numbers you would have liked to have go for em. My guess is that they won't be worth it, but we'll keep an open mind.
BTW Cascade now has the option, if you don't take a bonus, of getting -105 all the time. I haven't opened there yet, but that's the next place on my radar.

I expect the Mansion exchange to be my #1 out for NCAAF. I base that on what they had last year and the fact that they are my #1 book overall right now (which mainly just means baseball).
In particular, if you get to know Mansions pattern for when they post the opening NCAAF lines - and you make sure you're sitting at your computer waiting with some kind of plan in mind - I strongly suspect you will bag some unbelievable deals. Even if you're not that business-like about how you do things, there should be some good numbers available all the time.
One great thing about Mansion is the ease of Neteller transfers. If you put some money in there and it turns out you don't like them, you can just pull your money out quickly at no charge.
Or you can take the other approach which bookie mentions and wait to look at some numbers first. If you like what you see, you can deposit and the money is there instantly. That approach probably makes a bit more sense because there is a chance Mansion may change their policy at some point and start charging some fees for Neteller payouts.

GOLD, CLIP, BOOKIE, MUDCAT.
Thanks for your opinions - all worthwhile. By the end of the week, I will have some funds sitting in Neteller and I can leave them there a week and see if I can get a read on Mansion after week 1 of CFB. So I will probably pester you one more time.
CLIP - Myimpression of Olympic is that most of the experienced guys have them as one of their books. I haven't gone there because I think they are full ( 110 ) juice, If I'm wrong about that, please advise.
Cheers, Taurus

Terris, regarding the -142/+117, were you looking at the sportsbook side or the exchange side? The sportsbook has dire odds 24/7 - it's not worth going there.
The exchange has very competitive prices (in my opinion, the most competitive out there) but at some points during the day on some games, the spreads are large because there aren't people willing to offer decent prices. On the whole, though, the prices are top notch.

I have an account with Olympic to bet team total points at -110. I don't know other books that offer that, and sometimes I have those kinds of opinions. Olympic also puts there numbers out early, so that's the other point in their favor. They also offer a lot of lines if you're into betting obscure sports. In general, though, I've never understood why this book recieves such rave reviews.

Update in case anyone cares. Decided to make a small deposit from neteller into Mansion.
To get myself acquainted with the site and the software, I made a " half unit " ML play on Toronto last night. +220 was not the best out there but I took it anyway. I really enjoyed watching the Jays slap Mussina around for 9 runs in one inning.
Nice beginning. There was an extra $6.80 in the payoff that I can't figure out, but I guess I won't argue.
