Default Capping for your friends

Heres my situation:

Started capping a couple of months ago and have had decent success. I've been informing my roommates of my progress because theyre my best friends and I'm not going to leave out what has become a large part of my life. And, being the cocky ass that I am, I get excited when I have a big day and have to tell them about it. Being university students, money even in the smallest amounts is still a big deal. Seeing how I'm making "easy" cash(no matter how many times I tell them I'm simply on a lucky streak), they want in. Problem is, I'm the only one of the group that follows sports at all.

So they've suggested that they put up some money and have me place the wagers for them. Basically they'd put up a couple hundred and I would bet the games I'm betting for them based on the same percentage of their bankrolls as I do on mine. Not sure whether theyd put up the cash and do it through my account or whether they'd open up accounts of their own.

So thats my predicament. I don't want to say no incase I keep on winning and they hold it against me because they feel like they could be in on it as well. But at the same time, I feel very uncomfortable dealing with other peoples money. I know I very well may start losing(and losing hard) very soon, and if I lost for them as well it'd create a less-than-ideal situation.

These are my best friends so no matter what I decide I'm sure they'll understand and it won't be a huge deal, but at the same time, I want the situation to work out the best that it can.

So my question is, any advice for me? Anyone been in a similar situation?

I did this with a buddy's money and ended up losing him money. Then again, he sometimes went against some of my picks that he didn't like, which turned out to be winners...

In any case, I suggest that you explain to them that long term, handicapping successfully is nearly impossible, so if you do pull it off it will definitely defy the odds. Tell them to give you only what they are absolutely comfortable LOSING and tell them not to expect winnings AT ALL. This way, if you lose, they can't be mad because you warned them. If you win, they win, great for everybody.

Good luck.

Take a pass. They know absolutely nothing about sports, and probably would be sour if they lost money. If they are so eager to gamble up a bit, just guide them through opening an account of their own. If they are unwilling to take that step, they probably don't want to gamble that badly anyway.

don't take their money. you can point them the way to opening their own account by using the top rated sites here.. and if they want in on what you're doing tell them or give them passwords to your accounts so if they want to follow you let them do it at their own risk. hope your streak goes well but you're gonna go sour and hope u take a break then, but most importantly use money management and tell your friends likewise.

No.

And you are setting yourself up for a major problem if you do so. Let them place their own bets and follow good money management.

If you want to brag about your gambling successes and vent your setbacks - just do it here (and at other gambling forums) because bragging/crying about it to people who know you will just allow them use it against you and label you as a degenerate gambler whenever it suits them.

These forums are a great outlet and a place to find and distribute information to help you bet on the games.

GL.
