Default The greatest catch you ever saw

this was a tough one for me to decide apon. i decided i'd just make my number 1 catch a tie.

Bo Jackson walking the wall in royals stadium, and the kevin mitchel bar handed catch in the corner of bush stadium.

there was another one that i felt was worthy though, and that catch wasn't even a player. it was on the MNF game, when the fan jumped over the balcony and caught that ball in that packers/bears game.

Devon White in the 1992 World Series (Game 4 I believe) and primarily because I was there for it...Back to the plate he crashed into the wall, recovered and threw to the infield for the second and third outs. Ump blew the triple play though, saying the braves runner who was on 2nd got back to the base...Runner up would be any number of Fred Lynn catches from the mid to late 70's. That guy had no regard for his personal safety. Just awesome to watch.

I used to love to watch both Terry Puhl and Steve Finley shag flies in the Astrodome.

Puckett's catch in the '91 Series was pretty sharp.

Swoboda and Cleon Jones in the '69 Series each made nice grabs.

And Glen Barker, of all people, made a really nice catch in 2000 or 2001 (suffering from a little CRS disease this morning) up against the Astros' bullpen fence at Arthur Andersen Memorial Std in Houston.

Most impressive catch is Michael Douglas somehow getting Catherine Zeta-Jones (That's how I felt at the time, now, she's just, bleh)

That Bo Jackson catch has to be the best I have ever seen. Just about any one of Jim Edmonds catches. Torri Hunter has made some great catches as well, but the Jackson play stands out the most to me.

Ron Swoboda, most everyone over 45 knows what I am talking about. The two games I would personally like to see on ESPN Classic is that 1969 WS game 5 and the UNLV vs. North Carolina game in 1977 NCAA's, I always wondered if they had a 3 point shot (not to mention a shot clock) who would have won.

I was just about to mention that. I still crack up everytime I see that replay. Talk about bone-headed.

I've seen Andruw Jones make some great catches but I still remember Otis Nixon snag one that was way over the wall by planting his foot into the wall to get a few extra feet into the air.

Also happens to be one of my earliest baseball memories.

Carl Yastrzemski, April 1967, a full-out dive into the LF-CF gap at Yankee Stadium in the bottom of the 9th to preserve a no-hitter in the major league debut of a kid lefty named Billy Rohr. (Rohr gave up a single two batters later and was pretty much never heard from again.)
