SBR Bill Dozer reports on BetUSA
SBR Bill Dozer reports: BetUSA(SBR rating B) cancels client’s pending wagers after closing his account due to ’non-recreational’ play. BetUSA had sent the player an email on 4/27 at 6AM, stating that any wagers placed after that point would be cancelled. The player continued to have full access to his account and made wagers minutes before the start of the mid-day baseball games, claiming he did not check his email. The wagers were cancelled after the games were in progress. SBR expects BetUSA to honor wagers confirmed by its system.

Like everyone checks their email daily, and more then once a day. This is a poor ass excuse to try and get out of paying. They should of just locked his account if they didnt want him wagering.

I hope that BetUSA will fix this. Bill Nevin has worked hard to seperate his book's reputation from the other Sportingbet books. It would be a shame to see it go bad.

A leopard cant become a zebra however much it may talk about it.
Sounds like SBR has made its position quite clear on this, which is a good position in my own opinion.

VIP sends out those calendars too. They aren't a sham book.
(I'm looking at mine now. Adelina is looking sharp.)

This is the 1st time I've heard of someone account being closed by any licensee of SBT for non recreational play.

A sharp will have accounts at a few SBT books and SBT will cite multiple accounts as the reason for the boot. It sounds better when they make up a violation. BetUSA's policies and decisions are usually straight forward.

I recently had one of my Sportsbook.com accounts closed. They didn't confiscate any money or do anything shady. They just told me I couldn't have two accounts and asked me to choose one to keep. I'm also a consistent winner, ahead of line changes, and make frequent withdrawals. This family takes a lot of flak, but I've never had the slightest problem with them.
