Default NFL Futures

I kind like the following.

Bengals over 7.5
Pats under 12.5
Raiders over 6.5
Vikings over 8.5 (i think they are playoff bound or might be the odd team out of the wildcard.)
Colts under 11. You either tie and get your money back or win. Colts have some tough games and rest players at the end of the year. Also if Bob Sanders is hurt that defense is completely different.
Rams over 6.5 wins. Oline was killed due to injuries last year. Mark Bulger puts up great fantasy numbers. While this team isn't great, they still have a 7 or 8 win team. I like this...even bad teams win 7 games in the NFL sometimes... plus they have Jackson still... not exactly the strongest division either...

What do you guys think...

I dislike the Pats bet. They never rest even when they are head and shoulders ahead of their division, and to top it off their schedule is one of the softest in recent memory, even rated as such.

If vikings can get some form of consistent play from TJackson, D will keep them in games, 9-7 seems about right.

Patriots won't rest players, they will have to play every game this year to clinche home-field. but there pass defense is leaving something to desire along with aging LB. 3 of there LBs are getting older and will lose some noticeable speed this year. Instincts are great, but look for the rookie to get significant time.

Phily played them tough, alot of teams studied them and will exploit the patriots as a big "circle" game on there schedule.

How can you say a very suspect pass defense team is heads above there division?

Pretty easy when that division includes the Dolphins, Jets, and Bills (whose young star RB may be suspended for at least a few weeks if not more).

I know every year is not the same, but that division hasn't suffered any major shake ups, yeah the Jets made a lot of moves and will win an extra 2 games but the Dolphins will still eat ass, and the Bills aren't going anywhere despite the signs of promise last year.

The Pats offense stayed together for the most part, yeah they're weaker at CB but IMO aside from the LB age they had a good draft and figure to not be any worse in that regard. If they struggle significantly defensively, which I don't really think they will, they're still going to be one of the highest scoring teams in the league and nobody else in the AFC East will even make the top 5 (and likely not even top 10).

The Pats should coast through the regular season, but 12.5 wins is a buttload, especially in an 8-8 league. I can easily see the Pats getting tripped up a couple times before midseason and be 6-2 at the halfway point, then coast to 12-4 for the rest of the way. At the end, it really depends on how the playoff seedings play out, I guess. I could see this one going either way, and it's probably best just to leave it alone.

You've gotta explain the Bengals getting to .500. I can't see it. I respect Carson Palmer, but the rest of the team is just a mess, IMHO.

I agree with the Colts less than 11 wins. They've got about the toughest schedule and the division has caught up with them. Too many questions, such as Marvin & Freeney to peg them 12 or more wins this year.

Vikings over. I agree. This defense is going to be nuts. Jackson should start to show his stripes. But even if they started AP at QB, they could probably get to 9 wins.

Raiders over. Sure. In a parity league, the Raiders are bound to rebound closer to .500 this year. They'll have a last place schedule and be playing in one of the weaker divisions in football.

I would bet opposite of each of your bets. Then you should make some money
