What in the hell were they feeding the Eastern Kentucky Wildcats in 1999? Fastest time and most 225 reps. HGH/Steroids anyone? Tyrone Calico and Santana Moss stand out to me. Calico is a big guy and Moss is a shorty with hops.

I used to think Calico was going to be my fantasy sleeper each year.

I agree. At least put helmets, pads, etc on them. Better yet, put them through hitting drills for an hour, then time them.

Combine stats are just there to see if there's any red flags waving. Nobody cares if player X is .2 seconds slower than player Y. They're both in the same range, so it's moot. Move on to the next grading variable.

Notice none of those records go back past 1999. They must have not kept official stats before then. I know for a fact that Joey Galloway, Deion Sanders, Shawn Springsa nd many others tested better than some of those. I know Galloway was clocked at 4.19 one time but not sure if it was the combine.

Seems like the 20 shuttle and the verticle jump measureables found the most talent. Even the 10 wasn't all that bad.

The 40 time is the sexy one, but I only see 4 real players on that list.
I'm kind of surprised by the 225 reps... Only see 2 or 3 players on that list.

I'm really surprised by the 3 cone numbers - those show functional speed+agility/acceleration. There's some disgusting times and so few NFL players.

Cool post, man. Strong work.
