Default Would like your thoughts on this teaser..

Steelers -1½
Vikings -½

Odds +100

Steelers need this game for the division and the Rams are simply horrible. Have concerns with the Steelers on the road but the Rams are bad enough to offset that. Steelers defense still #1 in the league.. They will be hungry considering they lost two in a row and the division is on the line and they really don't want to play on the road in the playoffs. Steelers lost to Pats and Jags so it should be a breath of fresh air to play the struggling and done for the season Rams..

Vikings are playing very good right now they've won five in a row and four straight at home. They need this game for playoff purposes and Washington fits right into their scheme considering they don't pass the ball well. I've watched a lot of these Vikings games and I really like what they are doing. I like Tavaris Jackson's mobilty it really opens up the offense. They have a great offensive and defensive line too.

Would like your thoughts before I wager on this, so I can decide how much I'm going to put on this.. Thanks a lot in advance and good luck this week..

Colts are banged up and don't have much to play for. I have them already on a teaser. I wouldn't be shocked if the 49ers won..

I considered doing this one, what stopped me was Minnesota being -6.5 at the time, I'd have preferred them to be closer to -7.5 to tease, that and I had a suspicion that people may be a little gunshy on the Vikes after them not covering last week... Dropped to -6 now, it may develop into an excellent play straight up so I'm waiting to see the movement closer to Sunday..

For what it's worth I have the Steelers in a tease with the Titans, playing at home against the Jets teased to -2.5, and in a tease with the Cardinals down to -2.5 against the Falcons. Good luck whichever way you end up betting it, I certainly like Minnesota this week myself..

I'm very surprised the Redskins are getting 6.5 points. I had this line around 3 to 4.

imgv,

I am kind of surprised you aren't taking the Redskins in that teaser taking double digit points, the Vikings may have a hard time since they are coming off a big Monday Night win and I don't think they will win by more than 10 anyways.

HA ! I placed this bet the second the spread dropped from -9 to -7 for colts. Took 6.5 pt teaser (Colts -0.5 with Bucs -0.5)
Looked liked the most solid teaser to me. Two very strong teams against 2 teams in the bottom 10.

As far as your teaser is concerned imgv, i think it looks good at first, but the more i think about it, seems like dogs could actually upset. NOT LIKELY, but stranger things have happened. Vikings got smashed by GB and you are certainly aware of the Steelers ability to blow games they were favored in.

Bottom line , if you are going to bet this one , probably best to not make it your biggest play or your only play. GL either way.

surprised at the line. I have the line at WASH -4 and I would take the moneyline but if your a little unsure tease the line to double digits. That Monday nighter looked like a high school game and the Vikes looked horrible even though they won. My reeling Rams will lose once again so the -2.5 PITT portion of that teaser is a good one. Good Luck!

The Redskins have the defensive scheme and personel to make it difficult for the vikings to run the ball the way they have with other teams. I woul not be suprised to see the Skins win this game.

On paper it looks great. I think Pitts is pretty safe, but I think there has to be more value elsewhere than on the Vikes/Skins game. That game could go both ways. Maybe the Skins have a 45% chance - I like the pick - but I'd rather get my money in elsewhere. Also, I think that line favors the Skins, slightly, without the teased points.

Don't the Vikings have the defensive scheme and personel to make it difficult for the Redskins? Vikings have the #1 rush defense in all of football. Their @ Home where they have won 4 straight.

Vikings are playing great football right now winning five straight. I think you guys are underestimating them.

Teasing from -6.5 down to -.5 is really bad. There's either plenty of value as is at -6.5 or not enough value at -.5

Exactly. They matchup good against each other. I think it goes with a FG either way.

Let me add that usually teams which have struggled defensively in one regard, such as against the pass, are going to perform better against the run or vice-versa, however in this case Minnesota's run defense seriously is damn good.

Clinton Portis will have to fight for his yardage.

Washington won't be able to run, they are going to rely on the passing game to win on the road against an extremely hungry opponent who will be extremely focused considering their playoff lives depend on it..

Is Collins that good?

No. Maybe I didn't explain what I meant well enough, but I'll try again.

If you feel that -.5 (-240) is a good value (Two games at -240 would yield +100 odds), then -6.5 (+100) is a better value.

If he was that good, he'd be a starter in the league. He's 36 years old, so he knows how to study game tape and execute a game plan. He'll make plays if they use him right. I don't expect him to lose it for them.

It'll come down to the running game, field position, defense, and who makes the boneheaded mistakes. It's not like either quarterback is Joe Montana, other things need to get going.

Minnesota will run the ball a lot more effectively, that'll help T. Jackson have a better game this week. He's a competitor and I don't think he's near as bad as his performance last week, he'll redeem myself here. Washington is going to struggle to get a running game going, they may hit some guys deep at some point but I don't think they'll do enough to win.

Minnesota 23, Washington 17

Minne's teeth on D is up the gut. The skins aren't dumb enough to do that. Skins actually have a great 'playaction/bootleg' scheme that works well when they actually use it. Screens are also very effective. Minne's rushing defense, while superior, is mostly built to stop 'smash mouth up the gut' running, to slow down the other team's o and slow the game down.

I've seen them picked apart a few times this year with a good controlled short passing game/sweep/stretch run attack. Not necessarily an explosive way to play - but that's how you beat them. The Skins personnel does match up well with this. What will hurt Minnie is throwing the ball. If Campbell can hang tough, he's going to get a lot of open receivers in the middle of the field.

I think, still, this game is close and there's better value elsewhere.

Tavaris Jackson can run the ball very effectively and I think that will confuse the Skins Defense. We'll see can't wait for the game hopefully the Steelers don't mess up.

Sorgi will be playing 90% of the game for the COlts as a win or loss doesn't affect their standing.

Redskins are used to playing a healthy McNabb. I doubt Jackson scares or confuses them.

The Vikings are real Dr.Jekel/Mr. Hyde team. Be wary betting for them or against them. Their last game was unimpressive and should only make you more nervous.

True the Bears always keep it close until they do something stupid but still.

Despite their problems the Redskins are a capable team and they can beat the Vikings.

Don't bet

That sucks bro. I had Steelers in two different teases, you almost dodged a bullet they looked crappy early on, Big Ben sacked 4 times, lost Willie Parker for the year, were trailing 14-10 at one point.
