just was looking at this game, hit with chi town and under 2 nt.
First instinct is pittsburg, they are prb the 4th or 5th best team in the afc, with that being said, i say the play is steelers, they have played the pats and jags the last 2 weeks, two teams who play smash mouth football better than them, I think they come out and run over the rams depleated o-line, they will stop s. jackson and run away with a 10 point + victory easy...
just mt two cents, i will be playing the steelers first half and game.

Thanks for your input.. I will definitely consider both sides. One thing that's alarming is Steven Jackson is returning to form, coming off a 146yd performance against Green Bay.

And then there's always Fred Taylor owning that Steelers bunch in Pittsburgh no less for 147yds.. not to mention Jones Drews 69yds.. all in all though, they should be pretty inspired to stop Jackson from running roughshod over them.

The Rams have been so bad in the second half I don't give them any chance at beating Pittsburgh on Thursday at all. I think Bulger will get hit a lot in that game because the offensive line is so bad. I think Pittsburgh wins this one by as much as Green Bay did on Sunday. I think the Steelers win this one by at least 17.

good points, but i still like steelers, im from the greenbay area and kind of expected that from the rams and steven jackson, as we hadn't won there in 5 + years, however, our ends and dt were dinged and we shut him down in the 2nd half, he had like 96 in the first half and 38 or something in the 2nd, another thing i will be pounding GB first half as I think we come out of the gates with a huge chip, after they beat us at home. GB first half, huge not to intrude on ur post, i think favre will be sitting after the first half. GL all

Steelers in a teaser would be great. Steven Jackson is the whole team but the Steelers have a top 3 run defense..

It wouldn't suprise me if the Steelers lost their last 2.

Absolutely bet against the Steelers this weekend. Losing to Jax at home is still inside their heads. I think they barely eek out a win against a pesky Rams team, but it comes right down to the end. Absolutely not a Steelers blowout.

I agree. Hard to see Pitt not beating this sad sack team. Green Bay gave them tons of chances to stay in that game last week and the Rams said "no thanks."

Haslett is a terrible coach on defense and Lenihan is awful. How they bring these two clowns back is crazy.

i love the rams to cover here. i feel pitt is very vulnerable on deep seam routes and who better to run them than torry holt- a nice mix of play action with a red-hot steven jackson and the recipe yields a nice 24-20 game. who wins? who cares? vegas' early line move to the rams is right here. end of the year these mutts always seem to cover.

i think St Louis will cover and it will be a low game

PIttsburgh needs the win they dont want cleveland catching up.....running the ball and clock out will be their strategy....and it will be a close game....

pittsburgh is over rated and is not too good on the road so ST louis and under all the way

crazl,

Steelers have not been good on the road this season. They've lost three of their last five. But they do have a lot more to play for than the Rams do.

If the Rams can run the ball like the Jags did on Sunday with Jackson, I give them a good chance to win cover the spread and a puncher's chance to win SU.

i'm not impressed by pitts at all. got beat by the jets and
managed to get a field goal against miami. ( it don't get much worse then that )and i can't
see where they have done anything "great" since .
i know the rams are not any better . but playing at home
for the 2nd straight week might ""just might "" help them a little. so i'll take the rams and the points. the UNDER also looks good to me.

Let's not over complicate this. The Rams are shit. The steelers are shit. I'll play the under if anything at all.

I'm going with a tease on this game. Teased the Steelers to -1. The Steelers need to win this game to lock up the playoffs.

Steelers roll. The Rams don't want to win to get a better draft pick. How can Rams be motivated? Roth will slice and dice Rams defense.

I think the UNDER 44 is the best play...a team prop wager of 36-42pts is paying 4/1...what do you think? I see a 24-17 Steeler win

Believe it or not, players don't tank games so their team can get a better draft pick position. Players have to much pride and ego. If anything they will play for stats. It's ludicrous to think Bulger will go out and throw 3 picks so they can move up a spot in next year's draft. That angle is laughable. It's a big number for a bad road team like the Steelers to cover.

I'm with you. Who did you throw in with them?

I have one with Tennessee, one with Arizona, both with Steelers on the other end. That's all I've got going in the tease department this week.

I played the Rams +7.5 tonight and I might throw a unit on the Rams moneyline. Pittsburgh has never beaten the Rams while they were the road team (0-11-1) lifetime.

Wow. I'm not particularly interested in this game (STL would be a lean, but that's about it), but that is an eye-popping statistic.

That has to be a bare minimum of 12 years, but most likely longer and how many players and coaches have come and gone? The NFL is a league of "what have you done for me lately" so read between the lines on some of the trends and bet carefully as this is one of those trends that can be misleading.

I generally feel that way as well, and there's a lot to be said for that line of thinking. But when it comes to a team used to playing in the slop - it is generally agreed that Pittsburgh has the worst field in the NFL - and in poor conditions goes to a dome where they play in pristine conditions, the dome team is more equipped for the surface.

Or maybe I'm grasping at straws.

Crazyl:

I teased the Steelers with the Jaguars. Both teams need a win this week to lock up playoff spots. So, the motivation to play well and win is there. I considered the Vikings, but QB Tarvaris Jackson wasn't too impressive against the Bears on MNF. He made a lot amateur mistakes.

I think the Jaguars will be facing a weaker opponent this week with the Raiders compared to the Vikings, who will be playing against the Redskins. So, I decided to tease the Steelers with the Jaguars. Hopefully, it will work out.

Good luck!!
