Chargers got beat up against the Titans. Anyone who saw the game vs the Titans saw that it was a really hard hitting hard fought game...

Rivers had a knee sprain, Merriman left with a knee injury and Antonio Gates hurt his back it was an extremely phyiscal game the most the Chargers had all season.

Phillip Rivers said after the game "It was as physical a game as I've been in,"

They could easily overlook the Lions who have a very potent offense especially passing the ball and let's not forget that SD is very suspect to giving up the big play.

Lions rushed for over 152 against Dallas who has one of the best rushing D's in the league.. If Detroit can utilize a balanced offense that will make them very dangerous cause they have been one-dimensional all season. I think Martz discovered the running game and will use it now. I'd expect them to return to the running game again..


Lions are 2-0 vs the AFC West and both were decisive victories

36-21 over Raiders
44-7 over Broncos


Lions are still alive for a playoff berth so they have something to play for. I'll take the 10.5 points here gladly.

I was almost right about Detroit beating Dallas straight up.. So I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I think the lions can beat the chargers straight up, but the lions plus the points is the best bet. They played Dallas tough mixing the run with the pass and dallas is a much better team than the chargers. Now that Neal is out for the chargers it makes the lions chances even better. I will make a small play on the lions ML and plus the points.

I have not capped next week yet, but my gut feeling is that the Lions may be done after losing that game late yesterday, effectively killing their playoff chances. I know they are mathematically alive, but they are playing the worst among the wild card contenders, and I don't think they will pass Minnesota, making their positioning among the other contenders moot.

I wouldn't roll on the Lions bro... I think your Chargers will absolutely put it to them on Sunday! LT will run all over them! The Lions have been horrible on the road and like LT Profits said they will probably be pretty deflated after blowing that game to the Boys yesterday! Looking @ the lines yesterday I actually really like the Chargers minus the points... I think LT goes crazy Sunday!

I don't think the Lions will mail it in. Remember last season when they played Dallas and almost won.. They were completely out of the playoffs and played them tough.
