Default 4 point move in a few hours - unreal!

Why will the line move from Detroit -1 to +3 in such a small amount of time?

Detroit is undeafeted at home and last time they played Giants they smoked them. Giants barely beat Miami and lost to Dallas at home. Not to mention that they got run over by Packers that play in same division as Lions.

Not even the Patriots ever got a 4 point move in such a short time.

This is very strange. Is there a major injury to Detroit I'm not aware off?

I would love to understand this move.
Lions +3 even @ -119 seems to good to be true to me.

Don't understand this line movement at all. Have searched and could find nothing on it. Does anyone have any idea if someone was injured or not? I also agree with the poster, that favoring Detroit makes more sense here, and the current line seems kind of odd.

I mean if this was the Cowboys or the Patriots I can understand there was a rush of bets to switch the line over to their favor. But this is the Giants that they play pathetic since Burress got hurt. Detroit is very strong at home and the slow Giants defense will have a hard time keeping up with fast Lions receivers that play home on indoor turf. Detroit is a very good team at home. Why will the Giants be favored?

I don't know why Giants are favored. It does not make sense to me. But the Giants are a good team; so is Detroit. I personally would favor Detroit to win, but it is not a sure thing. The home field advantage is very real in Detroit. Best line now seems to be at justbet, +3 -110. Line is actually running somewhere between 2.5 and 3. I might bet this one, but not sure I really like to understand line movements before I bet them.

i took the giants here their 3 losses have been to dallas twice and green bay, wheras detroit has lost to philly, washington and arizona. the giants are beating the teams they are supposed to beat and detroit is one of them. somebody put a lot of money on the giants for the line to move into the 3.

The only teams that Giants beat are teams with horrible offenses because they outscored them. Detroit's offense is on fire and I expect them to be up to the task with Giants. Detroits offense is similar to Dallas, fast athletic receivers, which the Giants defense can't defend. Buress inefficiency the last 3 weeks is hurting Giants offense.

you can make the same argument for the lions but even stronger. they have beaten oakland, minn, chicago twice and denver...... all teams that have quarterback issues... but the giants don't have that problem, i am not a big eli manning fan, but i think he could light it up against detroit.

Plenty of reasons to like NYG here.......

Do you know that Jon Kitna has been sacked 37 times this season?

Did you know the Giants lead the NFL in sacks?
Giants Defense:
Osi Umenyiora 9.0 Sacks
Justin Tuck 7.0 Sacks
Michael Strahan 5.0 Sacks
Mathias Kiwanuka 4.5 Sacks

Lions are 4-0 @ Home this season. But who do they defeat?

Vikings (Below Avg)
Bears (Below Avg)
Bucs (AVG)
Broncos (Below AVG)

Giants are better than all 4 of these teams...

Do you also realize that before losing to the best team in the NFC, the Giants were on a six game winning streak outscoring their opponets 152-79 and winning three games on the road during that span.

Giants three defeats this season have come to the 8-1 Cowboys twice and the 8-1 Packers.

With the Giants losing their last game it should help them to get motivated enough avoiding any kind of letdown or coming out flat.

Giants are pretty solid on defense, they are ranked 9th in both rushing and passing.

Lions however are RANKED 30th vs PASS
they are ranked 8th vs RUN.

May I ask which above average team the Giants beat this year? The only team with a winning record is Redskins and they are average at best.

Giants defeated Philly and the Redskins both teams killed the Lions...

Philly beat the Lions 56-21
Redskins beat the Lions 34-3

Let the Giants win by two points so we both win. I hammered the G-men immediately after the line came out.

Good luck. I just noticed your avatar. No reason to argue. I hope you can see through the blinders
