Week 9 survivor league. This one is messy.
Well, Chargers & Pitts are the two big favs on the board, but I've used them up already. Next is Pats, but they're also long gone from my list. Titans?! I guess that's the one for me, unless someone can talk me into Bucs or Redskins, which look similarly reasonable.
Titans, Bucs, or Redskins?

Case for TB: Coming off back-to-back losses, play Arizona at home.
Case against TB: Tons of $ flowing their way. Lots of injuries. Cardinals keep things close w/ everyone.
Case for NO: Saints are hot. The Jags can't win two straight road games w/ Quinn Gray, can they?
Case against NO: They suck as a home favorite. Jaguars defense is amazing.
Case for CLE: On fire. Seahawks suck on the road.
Case against CLE: They're the Browns! Seattle still dangerous despite road woes.

Tampa for me
not sold on Titans this weekend, they have been winning ugly and sooner or later that will come back and bite them in the ass. Carolina is actually 4-0 away from Charlotte.
I still have Pit in 1 pool, might consider it but would rather not too (divisional matchup + prime-time game)

The reason I'm going with the Titans is because Carolina's QB situation is not stable. I love Vinny, but can he seriously go on the road and beat a quality team? I don't think so. I'm sticking with the Titans.
As for the Saints, there's no way I'm betting against the Jags right now. They are one team that could put anyone at QB and have a chance to win. The running game is monstrous and the defense is good when they want to be. My heart will be rooting for the Saints, but my mind and money will be on Jax. Plus, I think the Saints will continue to turn things around in the weeks ahead, so maybe I can use them down the road, just not this week against Jax. Hint: Rams are coming to town next weekend.
The Browns game is tempting. Maybe I'm being a wussy, but I don't want to pin my survivor league hopes on the Browns just yet. Plus, the Browns have a lot of games down the stretch where they'll be fair favorites against struggling teams, especially if they still have a shot at the playoffs. There will be better spots to take the Browns down the road.
Tampa is the strongest candidate besides the Titans in my mind. They are playing fine except Garcia makes just enough mistakes to cost them the game. I don't want to pin my survivor league on Garcia! lmao. Another thing is that if I don't use Tampa this week, I probably won't use them at all. How bad are the Cards?!
The main reason I may decide to use Tampa rather than Tenn is because Tenn might be useful down the road. Tampa looks like now or never for survival league purposes.

I generally don't go with road teams but I don't think the Jets can beat anyone right now. They scored 3 points at home agains Buff and Wash D is pretty good, without counting last week. Plus the Jets can't stop the run.

I'm going with Slacker here. I used Seattle, Chicago, Pitt, Dallas, NE, SD, Wash, and NYG so far. I am going with Tenn. I know Carolina is 4-0 on the road but that was mostly with Delhomme not 75 year old Vinny T. Tenn is pretty solid and can contend for a playoff spot. I'm taking Tenn.

I have Pitt left in mine. Given the choice between Pitt, Atlanta, TB and Tennessee, would you guys all take Pitt as well?
The downside to taking them is the division MNF game and the fact that Pitt hosts Miami in a few weeks, but the flip side is the other options this week are brutal.
Thoughts?

Cleveland over Seattle. That is crazy. That is defeinetly not the best game on the board. As for Pitt, by the spread, it is the best game on the board. The Ravens always play Pitt tough but I don't think they have enough offense to beat them. I think they keep it close. I wish I had Pitt left.

I like Detroit over Denver this week as my pick. Haven't used them yet. Denver's defense is too slow for the dome. Kitna will pick their secondary apart on a fast track like the dome.

This is a rough pick. Go with the Redskins. Jets can not beat them. They are a mess.

I've decided to man up and take the Browns.
I like going against Seattle because:
They suck on the road (4-8 ATS)
They suck off the bye (1-8 ATS)
They suck playing on the Atlantic Coast (1-8)
Go Browns!
