HOUSTON (AP) St. Louis Rams offensive lineman Claude Terrell has been arrested on charges of assaulting his wife at a suburbn Houston hotel.

Police in the suburb of Webster say they found a woman early Tuesday with "obvious signs of physical injury" after responding to a disturbance at a Hampton Inn. The woman, who said she was Terrell's wife, told police he had assaulted her.

Police say he was found at another hotel nearby where he was arrested and charged with assault-family violence, a class A misdemeanor.

The 6-foot-2, 330-pound Terrell has appeared in six games with three starts for St. Louis this season.
