Okay i might be a little nuts but heres how i see it.It might be early in the season but the Buccaneers look pretty good to me.Last 2 Sunday's as I'am watching games on the Sunday Ticket,Tampa Bay has caught my eye! Jeff Garcia fits the offense just great, and the defense is very soild! The only team that scares me is the Dallas Cowboys! To sum up the rest! Atlanta= NO VICK NY Giants= NO TIKKI Arizona= NO WAY Chicago= NOT THIS YEAR Detroit= 10 WINS! SURE KITNA! St.Louis= STRUGGLING! already beat them once! Minnesota= DONT THINK SO! Washington= GOOD BUT NOT THIS YEAR! GreenBay= TO GOOD TO BE TRUE! NewOrleans= MIGHT BE THE AINTS! Philadelphia= CANT WIN THE BIG ONE! Carolina= WHO"S THE QB! Seattle= LITTLE SCARY BUT DONT THINK SO! Dallas= BIGGEST THREAT! BUT ROMO MIGHT FUMBLE THE SNAP! Could home field Throughout the PLAYOFFS! |

Guys, what is so hard to understand? I told you before the season GB was going to the Super Bowl, and it's going to happen. They play in a soft division while the Cowboys play in a tough division, that means the playoffs go through Lambeau Field, and Romo isn't going into Lambeau in January and beating Favre and that defense.

wow when you read the teams in that order the NFC is weak.
Only 3 teams I reckon can do it Dallas: But still not the finished product. That D leaks more than bird Eagles: If they had a top WR, DMs Knees where 100% so he could run and the D gets healthy they would be a top team Seattle: Above average in all areas but not class any where |

Is this the same Brett who has won three MVP's, won a Super Bowl, set the record for consecutive starts by a QB in the NFL that is NEVER going to be broken and going to hold all meaningful passing records in the NFL by the time he quits?
Or are you talking about someone else?? And is this the same Romo whose single biggest moment in the NFL to this point is dropping a point after TD snap as the holder in the playoff game against the Seahawks that prevented the Cowboys from advancing last year? Or are you talking about someone else?? Just curious... |

Razz,
I happen to like your call on the Pack to the SB... However, I see that a bunch of you guys are on the Vikings this week!? If Favre and company can't win on the road against the Vikings then I don't see them as being a contender... I can't really see the Pack getting home field advantage throughout the playoffs... It will probably only take 13-3 to do it, but I don't know if the Pack can sustain this type of play over the next 13 weeks!? I agree that they definitely will make the playoffs and be a force, but I just don't think that they will be the #1 seed, have a bye, and have the NFC Champ Game @ Lambeau... It might happen, but I believe highly unlikely... I see the Pack is around +825 win the NFC! Have u played them already or will you be playing them? Mr. Mark, I don't think your to far off in the woods with predicting the Bucs as NFC Champs... Right now, I think there are 3 front runners... The Pack, Boys, and Bucs! The Bucs have been playin some really good football even though they have beat up on the likes of the Rams and the Saints the last 2 weeks! We shall see what the Bucs are made of when they come to the RCA Dome and take on the Colts next Sunday! I think it should be a good matchup! The Pack and Bucs look real solid, but right now I'm gonna have to say Dallas here guys... I know Chicago has issues this year, but they are the defending NFC Champ and Dallas won @ their place by A LOT! I really don't see the DEADskins or the Eagles posing a threat to them in that division... Yeah, maybe they drop 2 or 3, but I see the boys @ 13-3 or better... ![]()

P2M, all my plays in the NFL are situational plays - lines where one team is in a very positive situation, where one team is in a very negative situation, a game where the line would have been drastically different a couple weeks earlier but public overreaction has pushed the line out of whack, etc. GB @ Minnesota fits all three categories: Green Bay is at an all-time high in public opinion after starting 3-0 and beating one of the Super Bowl favorites, Minnesota is at an all-time low after losing to possibly the worst team in the NFL, and a couple weeks ago, Minnesota would have been the favorite in this game. Add in Favre's dome struggles and the Pack playing its second road game and first against a team that plays defense, and I think Minnesota is an outstanding situational play. |

The Cowboys don't play enough defense to even approach 13 wins. I would classify 9 of their last 13 games as very losable - in other words, games where they'll be a dog or favored by less than 5 points.
And I'll believe Wade Phillips can take a team to a Super Bowl when I see it. Philadelphia has a much better chance of making the SB IMO. |

Dallas looks real good in NFC and Seahawks look scary. The bears might turn it around with the new QB and when they get their defense back from injury. However, I think the Bucs might have the best value if you take the future bet.

TB's D looks good right now. Garcia proved he can carry a team to the playoffs after last year's Philly run. A lot will depend on injuries in the NFC, and what teams can stay healthy. If TB stays healthy, they've got as good a shot as anyone, IMO.
GB looks sharp, with a tough D and an offensive that is showing solid improvement week after week. GB's chances hinge a lot on improvements of the young offensive players. Of course, injuries will play a major role, but GB does have "some" depth, depending on position. Dallas looks most solid, due partly to depth. They are stacked at a lot of positions such as defensive line & WR. They'll be getting several players back in the coming weeks, such as Ellis, Newman & Glenn. Injuries have already decimated Chicago, which already compromised a lot of depth on defense in the offseason. The monsters of the midway are no longer. Curse of the Super Bowl losers continue. It's hard to fall asleep on teams like Philly, Carolina, NYG, Seattle, etc but these teams seem to be up and down from week to week.

Garcia didnt carry that Philly team your an idiot. The defense and they started running the ball is why they began to win.

Give me a break. Did you watch any of those games last year? Sure, it took a team effort to win those games, but the QB role was as integral as anything.

The Eagles success last year was Garcia playing great .
I went against them and he was shredding my teams like he was the greatest qb of all time . Not sure why you guys are talking big about the Packers . Just because they started off well is no real indicator for anything . They could lose 3 , 4 , 5 in a row , is normal in how it works............ |

Even so, they are only going to improve going forward, IMO. They've got a lot of young players that are only going to improve as the season goes forward. Plus, they've got 3 nasty teams on their schedule behind them: Eagles, Giants, Chargers. Nobody wants to see one of those teams coming up on their schedule. Even more, they've got a 7 game winning streak going back to last season. It's not like this is just a little 3 game lucky streak. This thing has been building since last season. The only thing that can slow down the Packers at this point is injuries, which all teams have to deal with. Even then, I like the Packers ability to persevere in the face of injuries better than many other teams. Granted, the Packers aren't at the level of NE or Indy. I'd love to see GB play Dallas next week, because I'd say they are dead even right now. But Dallas will get healthier. It should be intense when these two teams collide in November. It'll be in Dallas, so obviously they get the 3 point edge.

[quote=EJandV;358714]The Eagles success last year was Garcia playing great .
[quote] Actually it was the Eagles pounding the ball with the run and Garcia managing the offense with very few mistakes. He didn't lose games, that was his biggest asset. He wasn't going to beat you with his arm, but he wasn't going to lose it either. For what it's worth, I don't buy into TB. They've beaten an injury riddled STL team and a Saints team that obviously is going to be a non-factor this season. Their only game vs. an NFC contender was Seattle and they got shut down. A solid defense beats TB more often than not in my opinion. Last edited by EaglesPhan36; 09-28-07 at 10:18 PM.. |

Gruden won the Super Bowl with Dungy's players and has been struggling to maintain a willing team ever since. I just don't think Gruden has the ability to get back there. While Gruden is a competent coach, he seems to lack the special ability to take a ordinary team (that TB is right now) and mold it into something special. Gruden's rah-rah in your face persona looks good on TV and in the media, but Tampa Bay will always be a perennial second round loser with Gruden at the helm.
TB is a wild card team at best and will fizzle in the light of the Cowboys, Eagles, and even the Packers. |

Slacker , nice feedback on the Pack carrying a winning streak into 07 .
I see they won at the 49ers , home over Lions , home over Vikings , and at the Bears on sun night football in meaningless game to end the year . They were favs in all those except for last game they were +3.5 , because Bears already locked it up and were playing 2nd string . Correct me if I'm wrong . None of those wins to me is impressive with the 4 game streak to end 07 . Was impressive was the win over the Chargers , alot of luck was on the Packs side , quick strikes , long run by reciever for td for Pack , should have been a pick 6 going the other way . When that happens , Pack will get the smoked . |

Oh no doubt, I loved it as an Eagles fan but outside the Panthers game where he threw for 300+ and 3 TDs, he was efficient in the other games, but not great. I think he had 2TDs and no picks vs. WAS and then 1TD/1INT in each of the other two with pedestrian yardage totals. Again I think his biggest asset is game management/efficiency. I think he needs a good or great running game and I'm not sure TB has that. They may have one good enough to win their division but that might not say much this year. |
