1 star Bengals -6.5 to beat Browns.

- Okay Bengals D got some turnovers in the last one due to poor Raven play. The off has some injury issues and the browns are at home and must be looking to bounce back. The fact remains the bengals are better so must be considered.

2 star Panthers -6.5 to beat Houston

Okay houston won but they didn't make great yardage against a poor team. The cheifs matched them in this area. Of course Houston have some weapons but as a whole unit they are average at best. Panthers looked good against Rams and are again playing a team they should be able to run against or burn with Steve Smith. They are at home and have a good D. I see them by 10+

2 star Saints -3.5 over TB

I thought Tamapa where better than expected and they can stop the run. This isn't the certain result many on here believe it to be. The Saints are away and have to prove they are a class act this year and not a flash in the pan.

2 star Dallas -3.5 over Miami

This one I really like. Miami are crap. To win this the dallas secondary will need to be as bad as it looked the other night and they will need to stop an off lead by Romo which can run and pass well. If Dallas are a possibe big show team they will need to show it here. Betting against Miami the only worry is the Dallas Secondary.

3 star Broncos -10 over Oakland

Oakland will need to stack against the run and Denver are built to run the ball. The Oakland off put some points up against the Lion D however they could not do it when it was really needed. I expect Henry to run in 3TDs in this one and the Denver D to keep Oakland down to under 10. Never like this many points though.

1 star Bears -12 over Cheifs

Can't see how the Cheifs are going to score more than 6 in this one. However the Bear scoring 12 points is a worry never mind 12 more than the team they are playing. Will be playing the under here for sure

3 star Seattle -3 over Cards

Okay Seattle are away but I believe in all the key areas Seattle match up very well aginst the cards. The Cards will not run the ball well enough against the Seahawks D and will be forced to throw. The only chance they have of a win is passing to victory which might happen.

Its the amount that I am betting per game based on your bankroll. Some people like to use "units". It is the same thing. I am betting a large amount this weekend and I picked a few teams to go with.

Example:
If you normally bet 100.00 games then 1 star = 100.00.
25 stars would then equal = 2500.00.
It depends on your bankroll.

O.K. I'm in a full fledge slump to start the year. The punt returners for philly confirmed it. Lucky for me a old stand by pick is coming up this week.

BUF @ PIT OVR 37.5 for 8 UNITS

Last week it was denver putting up the yards but not the points against Buffalo, so they kicked a lot of field goals. Teams just don't kick many field goals in Heinz field for some reason. Who cares the point is that for the last 2 years games have gone over the total to the tune of 14-2 (87.5%). That is just the remedy I need to get out of the funk that has plaqued me since week 3 of the preseason.


This year my investment manifesto goes like this. (Originally posted in May sometime).
I will be using the traditional 11/10 vig system to score myself.

Preseason -- 8 units however I feel like it.

Total -.3636 Units

Regular season (1) investment per week for:
Week’s 1 & 2 8 units each

Week 1

Eagles -3 at pack land for 8 units loss

Week’s 15-17 8 units each

Total -8 units
My super nova lock of the moment is an additional 5 units for whichever week that happens to be.

Not betting a 5 team M/L parlay.

I'm betting 10 two team M/L parlays.

2 units to get back appx 6 units if 2 teams win straight up, get back appx 18 units if 3 teams can pull off upsets.

I wouldn't make this kind of bet every week, I think the second week of the season there's the possibilty of overreaction to the first weeks results.
