Default MNF: Oct 2nd NFC Showdown ~ Green Bay @ Philly

Anyone else equally afraid of both sides? I think of laying the
points (11 1/2 at time of this writing) and my gut says 'No,
GB will backdoor!' So then I'm feeling like I'll take the points and my head says 'No, Philly will cover . . . they'll make sure
of a win with a solid margin because they have to keep up in
their tight division . . .
In the end, I go with my gut, GB covers . . . the thing that
bugs me most about this matchup is that this season, GB has
both a new offensive and defensive co-ordinator and personnel changes like that take time to gel. PHIL has a new
offensive co-ordinator and I think they're trying to run the
ball more . . . Anyone else have any thoughts on this matchup?

Favre has been throwing alot less picks recently. I think both teams will light it up. I will take GB plus the points all day and twice on Monday.

I hate both these teams with a passion, so I'll be passing on this one. Line does seem too big. Had GB in this game last year and they blew the spread late with a fumbled kickoff and Akers FG.

Think I'll watch Emily Procter in "CSI: Miami" Monday night at 10 p.m.

As a Philly native Rezzy, tell me isn't there even the faintest
concern of a GB backdoor cover type thing? I guess you're
probably right though . . . I mean I'm not thinking you've got a
crack in your Liberty Bell for thinking PHIL covers here.

Tell me though is Lito Sheppard for sure a start?
And Westbrook (knee: 'questionable')?
And Stallworth (hamstring: 'questionable')?

You probably get more up to date info on your civic radio station . . .

Default PHIL OFF Near NFL Top; GB DEF Near NFL Bottom . . .

If I've got it right PHIL leads NFL in total OFF going into week IV @ 436 yds/g. GB 31st in league in passing DEF and also
31st in overall DEF. 388 yds/g.
GB allowed 424 yds in win over DET.

Default Phil Tied for League Lead in Sacks Going into Week IV . . .

I'm pretty sure I have that right ~ Philly tied for league lead in sacks going into week IV . . .
ALSO: To date this year they've forced 7 fumbles . . .

lito sheppards impact can be huge

1st can he play

2nd can he be his normal self

philly secondary taking some lumps so far this year and this guy can help put a stop to it but hard to say coming off an injury

this is a very key factor in this game i think cause you know farve is gonna have to air it out

the only real lock i see in this game is philly on the ML - but laying that much down against Favre is always risky...
But Philly really does own GB @ home and they're playing solid football this year.

How do you say en englais.... "no action"?

I agree with you guys on this game. I really don't find enough value in this game at all. However, there might better value to be had in this game via the live betting or even the halftime line.

I made a play on the Eagles but I plan on maybe spinning out of via live betting as I think they will be up 10 or so at somepoint

Normally speaking they would have to win by 10 pts to cover (8 and 9 being pretty rare).

This is MNF, so teams play the whole game. No taking it easy. I prefer the full 60 minutes for the Eagles to take care of business, especially after the way they folded late in their last home game.

How can Eagles win by 22 points??? when they've beat San Francisco and Houston by 14 points each. Wow, Eagles won 2 games against 2 teams that will be lucky to get 2 wins for the season. Green Bay lost to Chicago that looks like a superbowl contender and should have beat a rejuvenated N.O. team. Giving a big 12 points to Green Bay is a gimme, considering Favre still has it.

Philadelphia also has lots of players hurting with both Stallworth and Westbrooks listed as questionable.
