If you recall Al Davis' "induction" speech for John Madden he still thinks he's in the 70's perhaps he still thinks Jeff is fresh out of college.

I knew a chick that gave Jeff George a blow job in a corn field. Everytime I see Jeff George's name, I think of that chick. Funny stuff.

You know people also said WTF when they picked up Rich Gannon.... and hey he took them to a superbowl.

But I must say WTF on this one he can't possibly be better then brooks or walter at this point.

Well assuming George can still throw the ball 65+ yards, I don't think this is a bad move, Andrew Walter is out for the year btw, they had to pick up somebody. If Jeff George can still throw the deep ball I think he might be a decent fit even as the #2 over Tuiasasopo.

Is he not fat, out of shape, and almost 40? Yeah, he can probably still throw the ball 60+ yards, but can he move around and get out of trouble long enough to keep throwing that ball?

Raiders are desperate, and its showing. Bad move signing George. You raiders fans better hope Brooks comes through for you guys.

This move makes no sense at all, what are the Raiders thinking.

Heh - after getting rid of Collins, too.
It's like cutting a guy and signing his evil, wrongly arrogant, older, balder, fatter cousin.
Sadly, I think he's the best option the Raiders have, too heh.

He was cut, but is expected to come back as an emergency backup.
