Bit tough here because i fully believe that fitzgerald will have an awesome game, maybe 1/2 touchdowns, but.......does that mean warner would get it for the passes or fitz for the catches? thats why im a bit unsure. Of course big ben could throw 4 td's and the score could be 35-10, then it wouldnt even be warner

If you like the Steelers, you gotta take Ben. The Steelers don't overly rely on one guy, so default to the QB.
If you like the Cards, I like taking Fitzgerald. I don't see the Cards winning without an MVP day by Fitzgerald.

Even if Fitz catches a couple of TD's, he still wouldn't get it if Warner throws another TD to someone else. Plus the NFL will go for 'the story' of Warner. If Arizona wins, it will probably be Warner.
If the Steelers win it could be anybody. Someone not very well known who has a big day.

I've taken Willie Parker at +700 at my book. I think the value is good and if Pitt gets up they can run the ball he could have a monster game.

Doesn't Warner already have a Super Bowl MVP? I think they will give deference to Fitz, considering how the Cards rode his back to get to the Super Bowl. 2 TDs by Fitz will be plenty.
Ben didn't get the Super Bowl MVP last time, Ward did. So, I think as long as Ben has a mediocre performance (2TD 1INT 200 yards) and nobody else has a huge day like 2 interceptions & a TD or something, for example, Ben will get it. I think Parker needs at least 100 yards & a TD and may still not get it with that. It all kinda depends on critical 3rd down conversions or critical parts of the game as well. My gut says that Ben will need to make a key play at some point to win the game.

I took Polamalu at +1000 for three reasons
He was without a doubt the MVP of the AFC championship game
Im on the Steelers to win the SB, and am fairly confident
The Steelers are the number 1 defense in the NFL, with a mediocre offense. The MVP should go to a Defensive player.

+175 is not a fair line for warner being the mvp...if you can get +220 for arizona win, why bother picking warner at +175?...for warner to even be considered the mvp arizona would have to win the game...then you have to factor in that it could go to another arizona player...all that combined you would have to figure +300 at least before this line becomes fair

Guys I am telling you this would be a great time to go Co-MVP 5000+. Fitgerald and Warner are linked with the passing game. Warner will get credit for doing it while he is old and Fitzgerald for getting the guys there.
On the other side of the Ben and any of his receivers. It will be a little bit harder. If Ward has a good game with the injury. I could see Ben and Ward getting it.
This has not happened in 20 years. Two teams with extremes. The Cardinals cannot win without Warner and Fitzgerald. side bet if your taking the Steelers big

i didn't say i was a genius...this is a forum and i'm entitled to my opinion...i just don't think the line on warner isn't fair...how could the ML for AZ be +220 and warner mvp be +175?...am i missing something here?

Pac it was a real compliment. I know it sounded sarcastic. It was not. That is a very good assessment, really good. I would pic the game at 200+ over.
Do you think there is a shot of having Co-MVPs this year?

Fast Willie Parker looks like the best value, but Tim Hightower would be the most likely to outdo his expected performance. Can you say leading rusher and a couple of short TD's.

I do 3 kinds of work, Good, Fast, and Cheap. If the work is Cheap and Good, it won't be Fast. If the work is Cheap and Fast, it won't be Good. And lastly, if the work is Good and Fast it won't be Cheap. Remember that.

sorry pinnacle...i thought you were being sarcastic
co-mvp looks like it could happen if fitzgerald puts up 3 or 4 TD's, has 12 receptions and all of warners TD's are to fitz....being a giant fan, the last game fitz played reminded me of plaxico buress...both look uncoverable...the media buzz is all over fitz and warner this week

LT, once again, "you da man"
I didn't like Holmes for MVP before the game. Even after the game, I was like ehhh ok... Coulda just as easily went to a variety of other guys.

I actually would've given it to Fitzgerald, but they haven't given it to a loser since Chuck Howley
