Many times, I have sat and watched CFL playoff games and noted how much more exciting it can be than the NFL and said, "You know what? Next year I'm going to give this game a real chance."

But I never do.

I'm always aware of the CFL. We have a team in Toronto and it gets talked about on the FAN590 radio, which I listen to in my car quite a bit.

If for some strange reason, I found myself somewhere that there was an Argos game on TV, I would actually cheer for them - which is unusual for me because I'm not usually a guy to have favorite teams.

But I couldn't be considered a fan. Maybe I'll check out Ricky Williams this year and see if I get swept up in some kind of wave of fandom - but I doubt it.

I'm with Mudcat on this one. I always try to give AFL and CFL a chance, but this year I barely caught 5 minutes of AFL. I hope to get my teeth into CFL this year, but I probably won't when push comes to shove. Who knows?

I dont know enough to put money down on the games. I will have to read up on it and pay more attention to the game before I start wagering on the CFL.

I dont think I have ever watched a CFL game.

well got the first game under my belt motreal wins 27-17 , this game would of been a blow but montreal decided not to show up till the 4th Q............Winnipeg offense didnt look good they had a great first drive of the game then very little. Special teams blocked a punt and returned it for a td ........montreal offense wasnt good either and was really only helped by some key penalties and interceptions and failed to finish off many drives and had to settle on FG attemps ....but their D took over this game in the 4th

got unlucky here missed field goal and redzone interception, ricky williams debut was ok rushed for 98 yards i think about 5 yards per carry with a few good catch and runs mixed in

exact was 96 yard on 18 carries....annoucer at the end of game said 98 :-<

Sorry it didn't go your way, scotty.

As for Ricky W., he also had 2 catches for 24 yards. Word is, they want to increase his pass catching role on the team (and Ricky is all in favor of that, feeling his receiving has been under-utilized in the NFL).

Argos #1 quarterback Damon Allen is out for awhile (I've heard everything from 2-6 weeks). Back-up and heir apparent Spergon Wynn apparently looked good last night though.
