Default Lean for Thursday 11/20/08

I think that the news regarding Chad Johnson being deactiviated is bad news for the Bengals. Chris Henry is a good receiver however, but he's no Ocho Cinco. So the bengals have some back-ups playing tonight at key positions on the field; Fitzpatrick, Chris Henry.

However, for some reason the Bengals are playing a better brand of football these days. And they always play the Steelers tough at Heinz Field and have taken two of the last three there.

Another discrepency is the moneyline attached to this game. Typically a -10.5 spread is accompanied by a moneyline of -500/+350. However, the moneyline for this game is -650/+475, a line which isnormally attached to a -13 spread, and even hen it would read -650/+450. The Bengals side of the equation is more suited for a +13.5 line, and not the line of -10.5 which is presented tonight.

With 68% of bettors thinking a free money payday for the Steelers, the line fell from -11 to -10.5 which is a small but still reverse line movement.

As far as the weather is concerned, Cincy is a city that gets snow, and matter offact, it gets all four seasons. So the inclement weather will not be a problem for the Bengals as they play in cold weather this time of year anyway.

All in all, would say that the best wager on this game is to take the Bengals+10.5, with a small play on the moneyline as a light option, due to the history of these teams playing in Pittsburgh.

Bengals+10.5
Bengals+475 moneyline (light but right)

Okay, the line now stands at Cincy +11.5, and the over under is now 34 down from 36. I am going deep on this one, but I will play both of them and still also play the moneyline for Cincy lightly. All of these wagers are light wagers, as i don't want to mess up profits from other wagers that I have made today

CK, some thoughts about this game...

Cincinnatti averages 8 points per half and gives up 10 per half,
Pittsburgh averages 10 points per half and gives up 8..

In all, there's a 2 point difference of points at the half. With the line of -7 at the half, is there any value of playing Cin at the half?
