Complain about what? That the Steeler bettors didn't get screwed as bad as the Charger bettors would have? The Steelers at NO POINT in that game were covering. Period.

you are 100% right. Steelers fans knew they had a loss, so when that happend sure they were excited but when the points were taken off the board they couldnt be mad.

Chargers backers had a much bigger beef if that held up...Especially since it was fairly unsportsmanlike for him to not just go down when he recovered the ball

Been told you that this was the National Fixed League. Got Screwed hard today. I will go gamble in the casino from now on rather than giving my time, money, and effort to this FIXED ASS SPORT. Forward pass? WTF? The ref even got the nerves to say it was a wrong call afterwards later on in an interview. Pretty messed up. It was one game, you could of just let it go and take your losses today instead of putting the reputation of the league on the line. You lost a fan today. Peace out.

luffy you're ridiculous............you're telling me you think you deserved a PITT cover in that game??? the call may have been questionable, but please you had already chalked the game as a loss. The ref obviously didnt make the decision because "the game was fixed"

Deserving to cover and actually covering are two different things, Just because a team is covering for 59 minutes doesnt mean they covered the spread...

Thats the same logic as saying "we were winning the game for 59.9 minutes, but we lost on the last play, since we were winning for the majority of the game, we deserved to win, whaah whaaah whaaa im a little pussy"

The fact is, that was a TD, and the Steelers DID cover, and the NFL RIGGED this game. Period.

for people that think the NFL riggs games you are out of your minds....There is absolutely no logic or reason for them to do it....Tell me what the NFL has to benefit from rigging games???

Furthermore tell me how it's possible that no one would EVER come out with proof of games being rigged?

The NFL makes soooooooooo much money, how would rigging games benefit them? People that lost money "because" of that last call are going to bitch and moan for the rest of their lives, when the fact of the matter is they lost, they should move on....it was a loss the entire way

Agree 100%. I had Chargers so I'm happy, but the Steelers bettors got nowhere near as bad as the Chargers backers would of been.

NBA is rigged, thats a fact, why not the NFL?

Your argument is flawed. How do I know that ref who "reviewed" the play didnt lay heavy cash on SD +4.5...

Dude, the holding call was blatant...He almost tackled him on the edge and Parker doesn't get in the end zone without it....

BUT, the refs definitely screwed up in not letting Pitt decline the illegal forward pass penalty....

The ref, Scott Green should really know better....He called a play exactly like that correctly in preseason against Green Bay....GB had 2 forward passes and San Fran recovered a fumble after the 2nd one and took it 56 yards....

wait what holding call? on the play that parker got in the endzone and the called it back??? r u kidding me??? the hold was right on the guy he just barely got by, that in which he would not have been held he would have tackled him, shit he still almost tackled him

being a hardcore steeler fan, there was def a hold on that play

Just watch the video....in slow motion it is an obvious forward pass. He released the ball at the 25 and was caught at the 26.5. It doesn't matter where the player was..it is always where the ball is!!

Yes but everyone is completely missing the point here...The rulebook says the ball is dead after the 2nd forward pass if the ball hits the ground....That ball wasn't dead

OH HELL!!!To all that think that the NFL is rigged. It's obvious that this a knee jerk reaction to the fact that yall lost the game in a fuct up way!!!We have all had our share of teams Kneeling on the 1 yrd line when you need a over or a cover or of course the dreaded prevent D that allows a team to slip through the backdoor. If yall would have went the other way,it would have been fine.It would've been everybody else Bitchin.LUffy::You know you will be hear next week betting on the NFL!!

From NFL Rulebook....

7. Any forward pass becomes incomplete and ball is dead if:

(a) Pass hits the ground or goes out of bounds.
(b) Pass hits the goal post or the crossbar of either team.
(c) Pass is caught by offensive player after touching ineligible receiver.
(d) An illegal pass is caught by an offensive player.

Game Over at that Point....call was correct.

Do you have the NFL network? There is an addendum to this rule that Mike Pereira referenced a few hours ago...He admitted that they got it wrong just like the ref, Scott Green did...

Basically, if the ball had hit the ground on the illegal forward pass, then the ball would be dead....You have to read the addendum to these rules....

Check out this link with the quote I referenced below...

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/17/sp...17roundup.html

"But the referee, Scott Green, in a postgame interview with a pool reporter, said that the officials had erred in calling the play dead.

“The first pass was the one that was illegal, but it only kills the play if it hits the ground,” he said. “That was incorrect to have killed it at that point. The ruling should have let the play go on.”"

Scott Green should know better...He had this call in the preseason an got it right....

Yes.The call was correct!I just don't want to hear about this rigged shit. You made the choice of which way to go.I sympathize but like I said,we have all lost our share of games in fluky ways.I remember a INDY-BALT game some time ago that i needed to go over 36.It was 35-0 at the half.Guess what the final was?Yep 35-0.I lost because I--I--I picked the over not because the refs had the under or Vegas made that telephone call. You just gotta move on yall. CLEV-BUFF under 41.5!!!!GET BACK TIME

The supervisor of officials and the official that worked the game said the call was wrong....SO, it doesn't matter how many times you say it...The call wasn't correct...

Still, Pitt didn't deserve to cover that way anyway...

Your right!!!!Pitt didn't deserve Cover and this thing about right call or wrong call?Sad but true and I think most would agree with me here.
RIGHT CALL-----SD+5
WRONG CALL------PITT-5
For real!!!!!Nobody has anybody else to blame but themselves cause you made the play!End of story!!!!!!

Using the excuse that Pittsburgh wasn't covering the spread at any point in the game to justify a blown call which directly affected the spread is ludicrous.

Those that bet on Pittsburgh got robbed by the official who might or might have not had a bet on the Chargers.

Guru-t, 180 posted messages in 2 days? Get a life!!! End of story!!!!

Well to be honest, I didnt bet on this game so the game was null to me. The fact of the matter is, the game was fixed for Pitts to not cover the spread. Think about it, 18-10 and 11-10. Does it EVEN matter at this point??????? Why would they keep everyone back if the score didnt effect the game? Couldnt they just give the TD and end the game right there and then? That just means theres somebody on the inside that needed this cover, otherwise they wouldnt give a damn if Pitts got the TD or not. Did you see rothelessburger's face when pitts scored a TD? He looked SHOCKED (probably thinking OH SHIET, I just lost my 100k Bonus becuz of that) The ref even said it was a wrong call afterwards, but the score stays the same. They have a plan and it was for vegas to make money off this game so they can give the NFL organization bonuses that everyone needs for this christmas season.. Cmon now, 13 Pitts to 1 SD on penalties. Something wasnt right. They just didnt expect Pitts to cover the game this way. it was totally unexpected and they needed to cover their asses.

Guru, grow a fukin brain will ya? IF THE NFL IS RIGGED and rightfully so after seeing how this game ended. WHY in the world would I associate myself with betting on it if I know theres something fishy going on? Wouldnt that put me at a disadvantage? Think about it, if the game was cleanly played, I'm pretty sure I can win 70-80% of my bets, but theres always some kind of interference from somewhere somehow. I choose not to associate myself with this kind of cheating going on after this. Its just a lose lose situation and doesnt matter how you justify it, ITS WRONG.

Because points scored is one of the tie breakers when choosing a playoff team.

One more thing and i"m done. Are we saying that ED Hochuli had something going with the NFL on that game when he blew the whistle on the fumble?I mean he admitted after that game that he made the wrong call!!!!A call that directly affected the outcome of the game and the spread because correct me if I'm wrong and I may be wrong but I think the CHARGERS were fav by 3 in that game. If I'm wrong,I stand corrected and apologize.

the nfl is definitely fixed... not all games but the ones where theres alot of action on one side are definitely "controlled"..
if you have been watching the nfl for years and you dont realize this you're just plainly ignorant.. its obvious

Ok, but the ref admitted afterwards that the call was wrong and Pitts should have gotten the TD. So do they change the scoreboard now since it effects the tiebreaker crap you are talking about? If that does happen and Pitts loses out on a playoff spot, who do they go cry to if they needed that 7 points to get in? LMAO.

True LUFFY but all I'm saying is that you control the games you bet on!Thats all.I didn't fuk with that game because it was just too close to call.I took other games like G-men-7-Ari-3 Tenn-3 which have covered every game they have played this year!Thats capping. Also had INDY which lost but it was my fault! That is the point I'm trying to make here.

Well I have watched the NFL for over 10+ years and betting on it so I pretty much know everything there is to it, I just cant stand the fact that they act like the fans are really dumb or something when they do this kind of crap on national TV. It pisses me off as a fan and I am pretty much disgusted with it. I am just showing off my frustration even though I had no bets on this game whatsoever and educate those who believe this sport isnt fixed.
