Default MNF Giants at Browns

I have 4 leans on this game.

Browns +5.5 (h)
Browns team total over 7.5 (h) (-130) betus
Browns +9.5 (g)
Browns team total over 17.5 game (+100)
Browns ML

The Giants may not show up to play on MNF. For rest of the season, the giants opponents will play them tough. The giants have had a somewhat easy schedule (victories over the seahawks, bengals and rams should not count). Those teams have a combined record of 2-14. So far the schedule has been favorable to the giants. I think they maybe overconfident in this game and that is why they may lose.

With Dante Stallworth in the lineup, The browns should be able to score an easy 20 + points in this game and easily cover the spread.

If Winslow was playing I'd put money on the Browns. Since he isn't I'll take the Giants at -7.5

Tab - Jus tot play Devils advocate on the +5.5 and the +9.5.

Dunno on the not coming to play angle. (Giants) It's MNF I think, generally speaking, most teams come to play on a Monday Night. Also think Giants bring their best stuff when they are in the spotlight...

Remember they (Giants) did dust off two of those 4 teams. 41-13 and 44-6. Washington has played some decent ball this year...(not today in a let down game). I'll give you the Bengals....but they are also th eonly team Cleveland has beaten this year....and finally....Baltimore hung 28 on them.

Browns are a better ball team than their record shows but in my opinion sir I think NY covers this one.

BOL however you go....best bet this weekend...has been the opposite of what I have done.....so you may very well be spot on with this pick.....

Yeh I tend to agree. Don't bet on the Browns here unless you are ok with taking a loss. The smart money seems to be on the NYG's.

I don't know how the Browns stop the Giants. Jacobs should have a big night, and Eli will work off of him. Anderson is a qb that gets rattled by pressure very easily, and the Giants bring a lot of it.

Browns is a great play tommorrow, I killed it today so I am debating 5k Browns +8.5 and 1k Browns +280

I change my mind but will not bet on the game. Instead, I like the first quarter spread on the browns.

Browns +1/2 1st quarter (+105)
Browns ML 1stquarter +200

If the giants win the toss, they will elect to kick off in the first half. If the browns win the toss, they will elect to receive. If the browns score a first quarter touchdown, cannot lose on these bets.

Please don't talk about smart money when you don't know what it is. Actually all the sharps are on the Browns, thats why even though every gambler you talk to likes the Giants, the line has dropped from 9.5 to 7.5

Strictlywinner,
I am thinking that the browns +9 is the play too. I am not sure about the ML on the browns. A lot of money will be on the Giants and the spread will go up to 10 or 11. I think the giants are going to do just eneough to win and that is it. A game like this can be fixed where the giants will not cover. All the giants want to do is to win the game and leave Cleveland without any serious injuries.

The browns season is on the line as they are 1-3 overall. The browns are 0-2 (Straight up and ATS) at home. The bengals did challenge the giants a few weeks ago and took them into OT. THe browns are also coming off a bye week. Teams usually do really good covering point spreads when coming off a bye week.

this is a tough one, you do not know what browns team will show up.
The 10-6 team from last year or the 1-15 team of the last decade.

Strictly---You seem confident and your obviously much more experienced than I. Any chance you could share your reasoning a little bit? Certainly not obligated to explain yourself but I'm looking to get better at this so I am all ears. Assuming it is going to be a fairly lengthy answer that you might not have time for...is there something you might recommend reading specific to watching line moves? Thanks you sir...congrats on big day and good luck tomorrow..... I'll be pulling for the gamblers over the smarts and rolling with the Giants...for at least one more day.

Teams coming off a bye week are 7-4 ATS this season. The giants defeated the seahawks in week 5 as both teams were coming off bye weeks.

The browns finally get Dante Stallworth to play for the first time this season and that is going to help Derek Anderson a lot. Teams will not be able to double up on Edwards. THe browns will have a dual threat for the first time this season. I am 99% certain that Winslow plays tommorrow night. Winslow is listed as doubtful with an undisclosed illness. The browns would not specify on what the illness is. It seems like the browns are not telling the truth about Winslow's illness. I think there is nothing wrong with him at all. I think Winslow will play and have a big game. Winslow is not going to miss a monday night game. I am not buying it that Winslow is ill and doubtful to play.

I do like the over very much here. Browns lost 2 games at home. Think they'll lose 3rd game at home? or they'll try to keep it close?

i've learned my lesson on taking heavy road favorites but browns suck and they're missing key recievers. i'm gona stay away from this one, but the giants would be the logical pick

arizona will probably make the playoffs

St.Louis and Cleveland are capable of pulling a good game, but most likely sitting home in January.

So I would not group the usually hapless cards in there. Dallas has struggled and I thought AZ would win this all the way.

Cle could pull out there best game of the year and win, or the superior NYG will kick their ass 45-17
lol

The giants have had it easy in 2008 with scheduling. Remember in 2007, the giants opened the season at Dallas followed by a home game against the packers. That was a brutal way to start the season. The giants schedule is a joke so far this season. THe giants have defeated the 1-5 rams, 0-6 bengals, and the 1-5 seahawks. The combined record of these teams are 2-16. Its hard to find out how good the giants really are until they face some real competition. The browns are a better team than the rams, bengals and seahawks. The browns were seriously wounded with injuries early in the season. After a bye week, the browns are finally healthy. RT Ryan Tucker and WR Donte Stallworth will play for the first time this season. We really do not know how good the giants really are until they face some fierce competition and have some nagging injuries.

The browns started 2008 with all sorts of injuries. Braylon Edward played hurt to begin the season. Donte Stallworth has not played a down yet and will finally playing tonite. Derek Anderson struggled because he did not have any healthy wide receivers to throw to. I expect Anderson to have a break out game soon. I like the browns to keep this game close and have a chance to upset the giants. I like teams off a bye week. Teams that are off a bye week are 7-4 ATS this seaon.

I like the browns since a lot of money will be on the giants tonite. As far as I am concerned, this game may be fixed for the browns to cover. The spread is inflated and based on how the giants have blown out 3 very medicore teams.

There is no reason for the giants to bring their A game this early in the season. The giants will play just hard eneogh to win and thats it.
