Thanks for all the replys. The other day I did a mock parlay bet on 5 games. I hit all 5 winners I picked for those games, but I am still confused on the numbers -, + ov, etc. But here's what the scenario was like for week 5 of the NFL, and what games I picked. I made the picks at Doc Sports:
Game 1- Indy @ Houston. Indy was favored @ -3
I picked Indy -115. Total point spread was 47. Indy won with a score of
I believe 31-27?.
Game 2- Washington @ Philly. Philly was favored, but I picked
Washington @ +6 -110. The point spread was 42.5. Washington covered the 6 points with a score of 23-17. Washington won.
Game 3- Seattle @ NY Giants. Giants were favored @ -7. I picked the Giants -110. The point spread was 43.5. I believe the final score was 31-7- Giants. Giants win.
Game 4- New England @ San Fran. New England was favored @ -3. I picked New England -120. The point spread was 41. The final score was 30-21- New England.
Game 5- Cinci @ Dallas. Dallas was favored @ -16. I picked Dallas -110. The point spread was 44. Final score was 31-22- Dallas.
I "bet" $20, and according to the online parlay calculator for the true parlay odds on the money line, my payout would have been $891. Does this seem correct? Sorry, but I'm still confused, and it's all the numbers stuff. If someone could clarify this scenario, I would greatly appreciate. Maybe I can start to understand the whole thing then. Thanks.
Joe
