Default MNF Steelers-Ravens

I love the steelers-5 in this game. Yes the Ravens defense is good but this will be their rookie QB's first start on the road and Pittsburgh is one place I wouldnt want to make my first road start with Polamalu lurking around in the secondary. With the way Matt Ryan looked at Tampa Bay and Carolina yesterday you know the Steelers coaches are licking their chops. Hostal enviroment on Monday Night, the Steelers coming off a bad loss at the Philli, adds up to a big Steelers win to me. The Steelers will shut down the run and then make the young Flacco beat them. The Steelers will be able to score enough to cover in my opinion against a tired Raven D in the 2nd half. Willie Parker is out I know and Big Ben got banged up last week so I hope they made adjustments this past week with protection.

I just don't think the protection is there for big ben and the ravens d ain't getting tired in the second half. it will be a close cover either way, but with a low scoring game looking likely, I gotta take the points tonight. Also got a small bet on the ravens ml.

I think for sure the steelers are going to blitz the shit out of Flacco kids never seen anything like this. neither team will be able to run the ball going to be a ugly game.

willie parker is out and big ben is hurting ... If big ben gets hit alot in this game and i think he will your back up is byron leftwich...ouch!! against that ravens defense. I might just hit a teaser take Ravens and the points and the over 34 (will be over 27).... Tough game to call for sure theres going to be at least one defensive touchdown in this one. I dont like the under either 34 points isnt alot... If i had a gun to my head i would take the over ( I think Flacco will turn the ball over big ben will probably fumble too)

Im not taking anything away from that Ravens defense, they are very good but with that being said the two teams they have faced this year are the browns and the bengals. I think it will more of a test tonight for them on the road. It can go either way no doubt about it, I just have to lean toward the more experienced offense at home and hope another Pennsylvania team doesnt beat me again like last nights Philli pick Im not tipping the total on this game 34 isnt alot of points, turnovers will probably come in to play. Good luck to everyone, should be a good game to watch and drink a few cold beers.

i cant see where the offenses are gonna do much tonite, 2 really good defenses

pitt has a better chance to get some throws completed with roethlisberger
mendenhall's gonna get a lotta carries with parker out, looks like he's a good rb but going up against a good balt dee

balt's flacco might have a long frustrating nite, hasnt shown much yet
dont think mcgahee will have a big nite

home edge to pitt

can't really see any edge tonite against the lines, they look solid for now

Im really leaning towards the Ravens over 14.5 ... Its the damn hook i dont like that .5 could kill me. I think the ravens D will set up some short fields... I cant find the field goal prop for this one. Im almost sure the Ravens can hit over 14.5 it wouldnt shock me if the ravens get a defensive touchdown. I just watched philly's d get roughed up vs chicago that makes me think the steelers offense is just that bad. I'll give them a pass vs the browns in the week before because of the wind being 17 mph. I dont think the steelers offense is that good at all.

fg prop 3 1/2 under -175, id say over this since defenses might not allow td's, kickers are ok

i was thinking over 4 1/2 sacks -120, but dont think theyll pass much in the first half, meaning the sacks will have to come late

also 1st half TT of balt 7, and pitt 10

under definatly, ravens d will own roethl and pitt d will blitz flacco, low scoring game unless defense gets tons of points

Default from a ravens fan...

I dont bet on Ravens games cause I am a big Bmore fan but if I was betting I would take the Steelers with no hesitation. Ravens D has looked great agaisnt two of the worst offenses in the league. Also remember that our QB didnt get a taste of a road game since the Houston game was postponed. Steelers D is very tough, they played very well against the Eagles and that should continue at home tonight. Samari Rolle is out, not a huge deal but he was a starter for a reason. Ravens wont score much, I think they will get 6 points tonight. Final score 17-6. Hopefully I am wrong!!!

Flacco will have a rough time against the Steelers' scheme. We shall see if the Ravens can run on the Steelers. Steelers without two starting defensive linemen, but the Steelers are as committed to stop the run as any team in the league. If the Ravens can run the ball, they got a shot.

Last time these 2 teams faced each other on Monday night last year, the Steelers put up more points by themselves than the over/under right now. I'm not sure I would bet the under

I do love the Steelers also at -5 -- They should own Flaco or whatever his name is, and win the game easily.

Cheers,

- Hakrjak
