The Pirates somehow managed to give up two runs without a hit or error. But here is the real reason I am posting.

Roger Clemens mom died this morning. I'm not sure how that will affect him. Hopefully he will have a performance similar to Brett Favre's against the Raiders on MNF where he was almost perfect. Nonetheless, I would suggest downgrading any bet on Houston because of the uncertainty. I've already played it, and the post has been up for three hours, so we'll still count it as a 6*, though I would like to have it only be worth half that.

The Pirates somehow pull it out, the Rangers give me heart palpatations with that fiasco.....and after all of that, somehow I'm 2-0 today. I needed those 2 in the worst way. Hopefully, my other 5 can keep me in the black today.

Many of you liked the Indians tonight which made absolutely no sense to me...so I went with you on it and it looks like it is going to pan out.

I just thought with Zito on the mound against a Cleveland lineup dominated by lefties, it would be tough for them to score. Addiionally, I thought Westbrook would have a hard time with the left handed dominant Oakland lineup.

Please pass some knowledge along...what lead you guys to like the Indians

The Indians have been the best team in baseball the past month, and Westbrook is an underrated pitcher.

Looking a little deeper, Westbrook has dominated virtually every hitter in the A's lineup except Chavez (and he was indeed impressive tonight, allowing no hits through five innings, though the 6th saw him make two mistakes). The pick was not so much against Zito, but on the fact that the Indians lineup can hit good pitchers, and in a game both teams need, I want the better offense and bullpen at home, especially when getting odds.

And, we are final. Nice to have our two biggest plays come in easily.
