The team could have their traditional pocket passer, but in addition, coming out of the backfield would be this total question mark who could run, pass, or receive.
I think Young would make a great WR in the NFL. He is
deceptively elusive, quick, and can break tackles with his
    size.

They wanted him to play safety out of high school. Texas was one of the few schools that said they would give him a shot at QB. If Vick and McNair are truly busts then yes under those standards I think Young is a bust too.

I didn't read the whole thread. But in regards to those who say Vince is coming out early, thats not entirely true because he had a reshirt year so he has been on campus for 4 years/ So he only has 8 years max shelf life left anyway. Read the "Vince Young" thread and you'll understand.

Young had a good first year, but I could easily see him come back down to earth in his second season. He'll probably gets injured (Madden curse). Leinart will go on to improve steadily. Say it's February 2013 and you were told that one of these two QB's just won his first Superbowl. Who would you think that was, Leinart or Young?

Danny, I agree but your forgot one thing!
Leinhart is also more intelligent, he will make less mistakes! Young got 6 on his intelligence test(wonderlic), Young is stoopid just like Vick!

Danny, when was the last time a dumb running QB won the Super Bowl?

Game intelligence and IQ are too different things. Young sees the field, otherwise he could never make those runs.

Who said Young is a dumb, running QB? I think he's a nimble and elusive QB who can deliver from spots on the field that most can't (because they are slow and stationary pocket QBs).

I'm sure anybody could attach a label to Leinart, like "Fame crazy, whining crybaby" (The last comment made based solely on the way he handled his National Championship loss to Young with such 'class')

When's the last time a fame crazy, whining crybaby QB won the Superbowl?

I think some folks just still dont get it. Young is a player. He could have scored a -237 on a 1st grade aptitude test doesn’t matter, he wins football games. He always has.

Of course the Titans are terrible and had Young stayed in school he would be a buck rookie. He needs a little more time and at least the semblance of an NFL cast at the skilled positions to get a QB rating and the other stats that come with being on a good team. All in due course...

Only the video game warped minds of the idiotic societal mass don't get it. You nailed it. What's the bottom line in team sports?

    WINS. WINS. WINS.

He's a proven winner and any rookie that was able to get that joke of an NFL roster (in regards to raw talent) the wins they got last year deserves the credit he has gotten. Leinart's compliments on offense are so much better than anything on the Titans' roster, it's almost laughable. He gets to throw to Fitzgerald and Boldin and hand of to James.

Good post owned. I've seen them both play in person. Love Leinart, reminds me of Aikman. Young reminds me of testaverde who probably still doesnt know what 2 + 2 is but was a darn good NFL QB. I think both will be improved and both will be in future pro bowls.

Yes, Matt has been putting up big numbers in the NFL. I can't believe he hasn't been to a Pro Bowl yet. I was looking at his practice stats and they are phenomenal.

Speaking of video games... Lets just see how Young does this year with that Madden curse on his back. Hell, the curse already started last week when they suspended him for not staying with the team in the motel.

Leinart's line has more holes than a block of swiss cheese, he'll be on his back this year more than a Swedish porn star. Young can manuever and escape, which makes him doubly dangerous. Matt is A-ok, but Vince is waaaaay more dynamic.

The "Running QB Hyrbid" is somewhat new so give it time, a running QB will win the SB. If numbnuts McNabb doesnt decide to vomit all over the field in the SB The Iggles wouldve had a helluva a chance to win that game....

    The Madden Curse.

Rules don't apply to Vince, he's a born winner. Meanwhile, Leinart is being benched in favor of the ageless Kurt Warner because of ineffectiveness.

I never knew why smart guys would think Vince Young would be a bust. Pocket passers are more traditional I guess. Young gives an average team a chance to make the playoffs.

    yeah really dude
i cant believe what i just read before you
I guess we're the only two people who had abc for the rose bowl and we were the only ones who watched the nfl last season. Young is a ****ing winner, thats it. Anything more or less and I call u a retard. He wins, more importantly covers. I would hate to bet against him. Every single play u have to be nervous. He's a freak. Jeff Fisher could have coached anywhere almost and named his price. he stayed cuz of young. Man u peeps are retarded. I dont even care for young. I go by what I see. Matt Leinhart is sucking ass right now. retards
