wow man, you had a sick run with that parlay but if you didn hedge then shame on ya....20 bux to 3.5k and no insurance? only blame yourself homie.....i'm sick for you bro.....good run and an "almost" story for you i guess.....better luck next time and hopefully a valuable lesson learned

WHAT the hell you did not hedge.. THATS JUST FUKIN RETARDED.. sorry dude... that was easy money, if you hedged, you would have just sat back and u know you already won, it does not matter won wins the game.. You just know after then game you will have lots of money... I learned the hard way , so now i hedge.... NEXT TIME HEDGE, dont listen to anyone that says bears should win. $HIT its preseason.. its not the playoffs and a game where bears have to get into a playoff spot. Even then i would have hedged..
BEARS SUCK.. i had cards ML but dallas +5.5 fuked me...

Tough Beat man, I know the feeling. If you got this close this time you can do it again. Back to the drawing board for another run at a multi team parlay.

    BOL!!!!

Sorry man. Can't argue with letting it ride there's a reason is was a $20 bet. Also if it was done online then I'd b much more hesitant to hedge. Bc funding it withdrawal etc but I guess you know for next time as it teaches all of us a valuable lesson, gl this season

The bears just had never been on national tv where the cards had - the bears are terrible team - hate them even more now that I saw them in person - just very unimpressive - their season under may be a mortal lock!!

thanks for the positive words and yeah I took a gamble and came out a loser but personally to achieve greatness you have to be willing to fail.

I recognize not being familiar with the term... But in context, every post is telling the man to bet the other side for "some" money...

thus hedging = betting something on the other side and guaranteeing to cash regardless of result... In this case would have been Betting Arizona +4 for anything up to half the final possible payout.

Unfortunately, the Bears lost outright, and our man did not win his main bet, nor did he hedge...

Dude, I know this sounds like salt... But you didn't put 3k on Microsoft... I thought "gamblers" LIKED $$$???

I once had a 9k ride with some Late West Coast Blazer game that I had just minutes to figure out how to get thousands in my account... which I couldn't... and lost...

Said i'd never get caught like that again... So I will tell you the same thing... don't get caught like that again... $500-$1000 was the obvious hedgefund... Gamble for a couple of thousand, KNOWING you're getting at least 5 bills back... That's not even deep philosophy, that's just liking money!

I could understand if you didn't have the money to hedge... but at a minimum you should have hedged for 22 bucks to insure you aren't a loser up to 50% of the payout. I guess it's gambling.

When I hedge I personally do it for 30% of the payout, but I buy a point and stand a chance to middle both bets and clean up.

I knew my bet on the Bears was screwed once I saw this thread. All kidding aside, this is why I stopped parlaying a few years ago. Now I'll do a 2-3 team teaser at most.

i'd feel pretty sick if this was me and have felt sick from the same kind of situation before. whilst $20.00 is f\*\*k all, $4,000 isn't.

if someone said to me, you can have $2,000.00 now - no questions asked (or whatever amount) or if the bears win, you can have $4,000.00, but if they lose you get nothing.... then there no way in the world i'm taking the second option.

The reality is that was the financial situation you found yourself in before kick off.

even if you thought your team were a 70-80% chance of winning, you're still not getting any value at all.
