I too am loving the Pack in this spot. Just trying to find info on the starters and how long they will be playing. Week 3 PS starters tend to play longer, but the Colts really could care less about the PS so..... I can see GB beating IND in a regular season game this year, so really gotta like the home team here.

looks like the Colts will be treating this as much as a regular season game as it gets... as far as the ps is concerned anyway....

"The goal, too, for this week is to come as close to a regular-season routine as possible.

The Colts typically play starters a series or two in the first preseason game, a bit more in the second, then use the third preseason game as a full-scale preparation for the regular season. That includes not only playing front-line players more than any other preseason games – typically into the second half – but practicing, preparing and game-planning in the same routine as for a regular-season game.
That, Caldwell said, will be the case this week.

“This is the week we will focus in on our opponent much like we would do in a game-week preparation,” Caldwell said, noting that a major difference is the comparative lack of film of the Green Bay Packers, who Indianapolis will visit Thursday.

should be a really good game and I still like the Packers

Well, when Indy goes up as a dog in the preseason, they still suck from 2005 they have been a dog either at home or on the road 13 times and they went 4 - 9 overall, 1 - 2 at home, and 3 - 7 on the road.

While being a dog the last 3 years, the game has gone over the total 6 - 1 (O/U) since 2008, and since 2005 the O/U is 7 - 6 while being a dog.

During week 3 of the preseason from 2005 they are 2 - 3, and the one game they were a dog, they lost ATS. The O/U for week 3 is 2-2-1, and the 1 time they were a dog, the game went over.

Green bay on the other hand is 2-3 ATS during week 3 from 2005 and each time they were the dog. During that time the game has gone over 3 out of 5 times.

There really aren't any good stats for Green Bay's history that will sway you one way or the other. As I look at my pivot table, I can't really find an edge for or against them with all kinds of scenarios.

I personally have an investment against Indy, just because they are usually money in the preseason with not giving a shit about the game, and Green Bay is generally good at home the last couple of years, also the over is my lean given the history of Green Bay at home the last couple of years.

I think the over is a good bet here. I like the pack still I think. I think IND will probably have the lead into the 3rd then pull the starters and the pack will win the game 37-31.

Wow always bet against gb? I lost on them in the playoffs last year and it cost me big but I'm over it and I know the colts still aren't going to give a shit about winning this game.
