No you don't. I went through the same feelings last year with Crabtree. Atleast Revis deserves the $. Pay him or he will end up with a division rival and kill them for years. Not really sure what the hold up is???

the hold up is that Revis wants to suck the Jets dry and is being advised by a relative of his--former NFL'er Sean Gilbert---not to mention that Rex has expressed his undying devotion to Revis

And you don't think Revis deserves the money? Crazyyyyyy

It works both ways, if the NFL can just cut a player at will then they have every right to hold the team hostage. It only takes one shot or one wrong landing to end someones career. The salaries these players make are pennies compared to the revenue that NFL teams are bringing in.

Yeah Raiders basically screw everything up. Same reason why Crabtree was holding out. Crazy ass Al wrecking havoc on the league.

Revis was happy with his deal when he signed it originally. Play first and then get paid.

    This.

$5 mil/yr should be enough of an insurance policy for his career, and a good chance at a superbowl should be enough incentive.

I can't believe guys who would rather go play for a horrible team when they should already be financially independent.

He is offered 122 million for 10 years. Thats a lot of money and jets are foolish to even offer that. Now revis is so greedy and he wants 162 million for 10 years. Thats just bull shit. No player should be making such money...not even qb's. Revis is shut-down corner back now and will probably be for next 3-4 years...but what after that?..will he still be successful after 5 years from now?...for gods sake he has had just one good season and he wants 162 million...kick this guy out of the team and get some rookies instead. No team will be willing to risk that kind of money. Jets are foolish to even offer 122 million in the first place.

He should play for what he signed for. I hope he sits and the Jets win the division without him.

doesn't matter whether he plays or not, jets aren't going to sb with sanchez at qb. the guy deserves more money and he'll get it.........from who and when is the bigger question.

no, that's not how the NFL works - in the same manner that the team can just cut a guy and not pay the rest of the contract, players have to have the same form of leverage,

I agree, he's too good to sit out, and he may only have a short time in the league, he's making sure he gets paid what he's worth, but he will play
