do they have a rule where you can't sack the qb like the gay college senior bowl or something? this number seams really high for nfl even with the top in the league in the game...

I never really watched the game all that closely. Its the most meaningless
game out of all the all-star themed games. I never noticed that you
can't sack QB, what do they do? Cause I know
Offensive lineman are there? For What??

No blitzes, they can sack him

I guess I will have to study the rosters first but I am surprised the NFC is favored without looking, last year the AFC -3.5 was a real strong play for me, it actually ended similiar to the SuperBowl with an 11 point victory, although no dramatic last second drive

What do you "had to bet" Illusion? Surely you don't mean to suggest that we aren't required to bet if there is only one game to bet on?

Illusion might be talking about a free bet sometimes offered by sportsbooks or whatever. For example, I've got a free $50 bet on the Kentucky Derby as part of a signup bonus at a particular book. I know zero about horses, but here is a situation where I've got to bet on them, so to speak. I saw another free bet option on the coinflip for the Super Bowl on the VIP site. If you look hard enough, there's maybe a free bet opportunity somewhere on the internet on the Pro Bowl.

    my bets - NFC +168 (.1 unit) risk & u67 +114 (.1 unit)

anaysis - This is the probowl and, quite frankly, nobody cares... so, IMHO, all the above doesn't mean shit... thus I'm taking both the +juice bets just so if I hit one (or both) I will have a slight (real slight) reason to care...

The probowl is pretty lame imo.

Maybe there will be some decent props or something. I can't get excited about this at all.

    Spring training is soon atleast.

I would rather watch a Detroit vs Kansas City spring training game than this publicity stunt of a game.

NFC has six SEA starters on offense!
AFC has four IND starters on offense.

The only players that are in rhythm are the SEA and PIT players. All others are on at least three weeks off.

Defenses are on half intensity. My guess is that the Seahawks offense, once they get on the field, will make this 'one for the boys'. First of all, they'll want to flush that bad taste away. Secondly, they're not sure they'll all be on the same field again.

When Hasselbeck leaves the field, you get another frustrated QB in Delhomme, who just happens to have a guy by the name of Steve Smith to throw the ball to. Once Manning leaves, you have Green and McNair to take his place. Two backups that have been vacationing since somewhere around X-mas. (Brady, Plummer, and Palmer are all listed as injured).

This game could be a blowout, with one team on vacation and the other ready to play.

    Why is the AFC favored?

My guess is because everyone thinks the AFC is so much stronger then the NFC this year... If I thought the players actually gave a shit about this game I would look at the AFC -4... but since they don't and the game is shit, I put this much closer to a coin toss... which is why I think NFC on the ML is a real strong play worth a real weak bet here...

What about the Polamalu Factor ? ...he's not gonna give em up easy. He's gotta impress his homeboys...mahalo.

and Manning can out QB Hasselbeck, but you're right, he may not care. But have you ever seen Manning NOT take the game seriously? Plus, he's gotta show Hasselbeck his Guns that he would have shown if he had not been foiled by Pittsburgh...Plus, he never got to go up against Hasselbeck during the season.

Ya say it's not serious and AFC may not take it serious, But as far as the QB's and the Starters for IND and SEA are concerned, it's the Super Bowl that almost happened...

Furthermore, these guys are pros. To get to the pros, you gotta be what? c'mon, anybody...COMPETITIVE. Sure this game doesn't count for much, but these guys COMPETE. They're PROS. It's in their blood and their nature.

It's a mini-Superbowl and IND players are gonna wanna show what would have been and SEA as well.

I'm Guessing the Polamalu Factor, especially on his home islands, will keep the game under and probably an AFC win, just to rub it in further for SEA...besides, computer dorks shouldn't own teams...

Actually, now i'm thinking Under 69 is a Great bet. Polamalu is Bad-ASS. He's involved in almost every play and he covers the field better than anybody. Plus, he's at home and when momma's watchin', ya gotta do your best. and if it ain't momma, Pops is gonna whoop ya if ya don't do your best. Polamalu alone is gonna keep the scores low.

Agreed bbDan, Under is a good bet. I'm gonna stake a decent amount on it too.
