I'll likely have an opening night play posted Wednesday, and then Friday I'll get the rest of my weekend plays up. BOL to all, hope everyone has a very profitable football season!

I'm with you Kroy. I'm in the same boat, because I post up all my picks with analysis for free too. Some people just don't understand that some of us do this whether people want to tail or not. Personally, I'm never surprised at some of the negativity on forums, but thankfully this place seems to have mods around to keep things under control. I just wish I found this board earlier. Its not hate. The purpose of this forum is discuss plays and share info. This is not a forum for wannabe touts trying to accumulate customers. This defeats the integrity of this forum. There are other subforums for people who want to go tout.

As far as kroyrunner is concerned, if you don't think he will go tout soon, just check out his new webpage he has created with option to pay money. He has created threads across several forums to attract customers.

If he honestly posts his plays, shares info and not go tout, I have up most respect for him. But no respect with the direction he is planning to take soon.

The mods have already warned kroyrunner before about this. But he continues to discuss with other posters about possibly going tout soon. This defeats the integrity of this forum.

Pee Pee and others who are tailing, instead of defending kroyrunner for his free picks he is throwing before going tout, why dont you guys actually learn capping the games by yourselves. You would be way more successful.

There have been several people like kroyrunner who have come and gone in these forums who run good for a while and go tout. Kroyrunner is just another one of them.

You're exactly right, the purpose of this forum is to discuss plays and share info. I've been doing that for over a year now here, and I've always had a link to either my blog or site in my profile. SBR allows this, the mods have had no major issues with me I'm not here to overstep any boundaries and cause trouble. The only mistake I've made here is mentioning a mailing list, if it would please the mods then close my thread and let me start up a new one just like SportsPicks3434 did. That might be the best solution, I don't want to be breaking any forum rules and I certainly don't want to get moved to a different forum section where less people could follow along if they wanted.

Do I have a donation button on my site, yeah I do. Do I require donations? Of course not. Fact of the matter is I put in a lot of time capping my games, people had asked me in the past if they could donate so I put it up as an easy method to. It was there all of last year too on my old blog. I've never tried to draw attention to it, I've never even mentioned it on a forum post before, you brought it up though so now I really have no choice but to defend myself.

And what do you mean I discuss with posters the possibility of going tout? I had a guy come in my thread and tell me to, I simply told him that was not an option. Not sure how that's defeating the integrity of the forum.

Here's the thing, I've seen these other cappers who come and go that you speak of. It's very frustrating, especially because most of them go on hot streaks for a few weeks, gather a large following, then start charging $50 a day or something. That's not in my plans, it's not who I am. I appreciate you looking out for the forum, I've jumped down a few posters throats before because I thought they were doing something similar. Most recent who comes to mind is that "NFLwins" guy. People like that unfortunately exist, just know I'm not one of them. I've done nothing wrong, again if the mods want me to start a new thread just to get all this mailing list nonsense out of here I have no problem with it, I'm just looking to stay within the rules and help some people win money this year (and by the way I try to explain my reasoning behind every pick in my writeups so hopefully people who do follow can learn from me).

Lastly, are you stronger capping either college or NFL than the other?

You know what, if Kroy wants to establish what a strong capper he is, then he is free to do so. If he wants to charge for his picks next year or whenever he is free to do that as well. The bottom line is he is here helping others and newbies by sharing his picks. If he goes off and charges for his picks somewhere down the line, no one here has to pay him when the time comes if they don't want to. It's as simple as that. I have no problem with anyone who goes out and makes a living charging for picks. It's up to me if I want to pay for them or not. Hell, if I new enough about handicapping, I would be charging for picks myself. I can build a website and know how to generate traffic to it, but I'm not a very seasoned capper at the moment. So, guys like Kroy, Sportspicks and Rochester are all great cappers and all have their followers. It's not a problem unless someone makes it one. Good luck to everyone here whether you tail, fade or cap your own picks. We are all here for the same reason, to hammer the man!!!

Well for opening night I'm pretty sure I'll have a play, I'll get that up by Wednesday night. Sunday/Monday plays will normally be posted by Friday night, Saturday afternoon at the latest week to week. Finally, I only cap NFL, if you need some college advice I'd say look Sportspicks3434's way. GL this season!

It's not so much the time element of a year and a half. You have the talent, use it. Show everything that you won in any contest. You lnow what I'm speaking of. Show all the plays you make 10-15 minutes after each game starts. Keep a running record for people to see. Here's the big picture. Only a handful of guys on the forums will get off any money for picks. GOD could be picking games, it ain't happening. I'm not saying it's a bad idea giving out helpful info to the people here. Boils down to this, sooner or later ya got to make a choice. Are you in the Hilton this year.

I do not understand what motivation or thinking could possibly be behind either of these comments. Generally the problem lies with the maker of the comment... the deep-seated psychological problem.

While I doubt SBR overtly encourages the criticism, to a point it drives board traffic, and with the amount of advertising they carry, traffic = $$. They have to be careful that it doesn't get out of hand tho, because people do get tired of it and go elsewhere.

You're talking about integrity in an advertiser-supported forum for degenerate mostly-barrelled-in gamblers? You've got to be kidding me.

And further, who asked you to be forum cop? There are moderators for just such activity, and if they have been spanking kroy for his behavior here, then obviously they are a) aware of the dastardly scheme he's perpetrating and b) satisfied with the way things currently stand.

You're right, I will eventually have to make a choice if I keep experiencing this level of success, but that time isn't now IMO. I'm not in Hilton this year, I am in Leroy's though. Gotta start small and work my way up... BOL to you as I assume you're in it again

Kroy, how much of your bankroll is on each play?

I play it a bit riskier than most. Basically I'm starting with about a $2000 bankroll, I'm going to be playing to win $200 on each pick I make. It would take a really bad run to bust me, and since I only play 4-5 games a week I'd never have to worry about not having enough to bet all the games. Somewhere 5-7 weeks into the season I'll see how I'm doing and make the appropriate adjustments, but for at least the first 4 weeks it'll be $200 a game.
