Don't they both have to get there first?

I believe that Green Bay is underappreciated this year. No one expected them to do as well as they have. New England is just good. Plain and simple. And I mean that in the highest sense possible.

If they both happen to make it to the SuperBowl the line will probably come out at -9 Pats and the over under will be around 54???

The NFL would love Favre to beat the Pats in the Super Bowl and annouce his retirement on the podium after the game a storybook finish for him.

Remember when the Pats won their first SB to the Rams they were a 14 point dog to the powerful Rams so anything can happen

Good point Wrigley, I do definitely think this can go either way, but if I were to handicap Pats/Pack just from a straight up perspective, I'd have to go with New England.

As far as the NFL, I think they may be neutral on who they'd like to see prevail. Last year was a great angle with two black head coaches, with the winner making NFL history.

This year I think either being a winner is a great story, the undefeated champions consummate their legacy and finish 19-0 to be remembered forever, or the old wily veteran has one final run under the sunset. I think that angle, Jerome Bettis, John Elway, may be a little played out. A lot of people think the NFL pushes the envelope a little bit in terms of playoff officiating, but I'd have to say if there was a BS factor it'd probably be on New England's side.

I read somewhere that if NE plays GB in the Super Bowl the line will probably be NE - 13 1/2. Open the windows if this ends up being the matchup I'll take the points.... But there still is 2 more games upcoming and it's football, anything can happen.

I think Favre beats Brady in the SB and Shula's curse lives on. Favre retires on top, Shula and 72 Dolphins party, Bellicheck is fired and takes a job as head coach of the University of Hawaii.

But seriously now, the NFL will do its best to see a Favre/Brady showdown. That matchup would certainly go down as one of the best in SB history. As a fan I would love it. As a gambler, I would take the points.

the sick thing about this is I layed heavy on Green Bay to win the superbowl way before the regular season even started.

Before the Pats buried the Packers last season, I think it was 38-0 at Green Bay, Favre had done well against Belichick's defenses in the past. In Brady's second year, he lit them up in Foxboro.

Of course, in the Super Bowl, Favre cut up the Pats defense, which had Belichick on the staff as a defensive assistant. Al Groh was the actual defensive coordinator because he had the job when Parcells brought Belichick in after he was fired in Cleveland.

I have to tip my hat to the Giants/Chargers/Packers.

The Patriots have shown a lot of holes in the secondary the 1st half lately. So if (if its Packers/Patriots) the Packers show a good passing game the 1st half and then mix it up with Grant the 2nd half, I think think they can win it. But yeah, the line will probably be Patriots -13

Greek, The NFL will do everything it can to make this game happen. GB and Pats backers will get calls this weekend in their favor. If it does happen, Farve should be able to light up the Pats secondary. It will be a score fest for both sides. I think the Pack is playing great footaball and could beat the Pats. If the line in the SB is anything over -7 Pats (which it should be) then I'll drop 10 units on the Pack.

Default Reminds me of Favre/Elway Super Bowl

Thinking of a possible/probable matchup of Brady/Favre reminds me of the 1998 Super Bowl between Favre and Elway! The confident favorite with the MVP QB in his prime against the grizzled old veteran as the underdog! I think the Pack matches up very well w/the Pats considering how Grant is leading the NFL in rushing since he started playing! GB has the weapons on offense to put up 30+ and their defense is much younger and dynamic than the Pats defenders! The Pats haven't rushed the passer well lately and I don't see Favre having to force alot of throws to move the ball! If I'm not mistaken Terrell Davis won that game for the Broncos and I could see Grant going well over 100 too!! I would take GB and anything over 7 points and the Over too!!
