WOW I am going to bet the Bears here. The Vikings are not that good.

4-1 on the ML is a real price
The Viks play in a dome don't they so the weather won't be a factor.... and the bears play real well away.

    Bears 4-1 1 units
    Bears +10.5 5 units
    Over 5 units

all i know is vikings are much better than the sorry bears......worst mistake was getting rid of Thomas Jones for fumbling cedric benson

go Vikings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a sorry team that made superbowl last year........huge disappointment

away record for Bears 3-4 that makes them play well?? 3-4 ATS away too while Minnesota is 4-2 at home and 4-2 ATS......I mean spread is a little high this week but come on chicago has given up already....this game will be similar to what Tampa Bay did to Atlanta on sunday.

    good luck everyone

Im never seen an NFL year with so many double digit lines. fvcking Nfl is turning into the ncaa with these spreads. Sad part is Im scared to take the points.

    Happyboy, I hear ya. I just can't lay 10 1/2 and I can't trust ther bears with a 10 1/2 lead either. Pass.

Bears will not lose by double digits on MNF. I'll take the points any time. Line should have been -4 max. I don't know what Vegas is thinking here. These are the Vikings not the Pats. They are just an injury away from being awful. If Peterson or Jackson get hurt during the game they have noone to carry the load. Another bet I like is under. Teams that are looking to go into the playoffs play conservatively to just get the win.

just check vikings rushing yard record for this season and how much bears ranks in giving up rushing yards.

no brainer here.. vikings GO VIKINGS GOOOOO

spread is too high? who does bears have to score beside devin hester? plus with a new qb who loves to throw td.. second string rb.. AP CLONE.. one of the worse defense this year.. YEAH BOTTOM LOWER RANKED BEARS.. always been over rated.

    GO VIKINGS GO!

6.5 point teaser sounds mighty nice here. Bears +17 and the Under of 49.5.

the OVER 43 as the Vikes are averaging as of late almost 35 pts per game and the Bears are giving up around 27 pts. I'm not real confident either way on the spread also, so I'll leave it alone.

Nathan Vasher is expected to see his first action in 10 weeks for the Bears tonight.

When was the last time Bears lost with double digits in their own division kiddo?

OK, decided to go ahead and play this. I'm taking the under. I expect the Bears to put a lot of men up front with determination to stop the run. I think Smith will basically say to the Vikings that you will have to beat us in the air but not on the ground. I don't see the bears scoring a lot of points. 2 units on the under here. I am picturing a final score of 17-9 or so.

I like Vikings to cover 10 1/2 and the over at 43
I am teasing vikings -4 and over at 37 1/2 also
vikings to good last meeting peterson ran for 225 against a healthy bears defense know a banged up defense come on it is easy! vikings also get some defensive lineman back plus a cb back to make them even better! orton is good for at least 1 int and the vikings lead the nfl in pick 6's!

Nothing is ever easy in this game. Don't be surprised if the Bears even win. Not probable but quite possible. This could be a dog fight if Lovy stuffs the box and forces the Vikes to rely on passing. I expect a relatively low scoring affair.

what you dont think they did that last time after peterson rushed for over 100 in the first half they did stuff the box and he came back in the 2nd half and rushed for over another 100! come on it is not just him it is there line they are very good at running and stopping the run! vikings in a blowout but i will not bet the over cause i think bears get shut out!

did you guys forget about AP last week? This guy is human and you can't expect him to go +200 yards. Yeah I Know Minnesota is playing well but can you really take them for real? The only team I give them props for beating is San Diego. Look for Chicago to open up the playbook and let Orton pass it around, while on D the bears main focus will be stopping the run. The last time these 2 teams played the Viks won by 3 points, and AP ran for 200 + yds... and they still kept it close. MY prediction is that the Bears will keep it close if not have a shot to win this game. Also on the Under. Not a bad idea to tease it to +17 1/2 and under 49 1/2

    This one is easy fellas,

Bears want to run the football and the vikes are the best in the league at stopping them. They will become one sided by throwing the ball way more then they want too. Vikes will pound the ball right at the Bears Defense which is just not any good any more. Then they will get some big plays Off PA after Chicago has to put 8 in the box. Also T Jackson will be able to scramble when needed , they will not be able to use B Urlacher as a spy on him, because L Smith will have him focused on AP and C Taylor all night.

It's a ton a points to give to a divisional rival on a monday night however, and history would tell you to take this much points in a second. However as Happy Boy said this NFL year is different most high point spreads i ever seen. With all that being said IF YOU MUST MAKE A PLAY ON TONIGHTS GAME, lay the wood. Minnesota controls their own destiny, and Chicago has nothing to play for at this point. L Smith is evaluated talent as of now, and he is going to try some new things with some new personal to help them grow for next year.

    Minnesota 27 - 9 . . .

Stop with all this teaser talk, especially with teasing to 17.5, and the total. You are not 50% more likely to cover a spread teasing from 10.5 to 17.5 or teasing from 43 to 49.

Fellows if the man him self says the vikings cover the 11 points i am going with him all day "that sounds nice doesnt it! by the way the man is brandon lang you might of heard the movie made about him "two for the money" and he is making a huge play on the vikings (about $400,000) so follow him! i got 2 G's on the vikings and i am down -8 units for the weekend! lang is gonna pull me out of the hole and some!

My main angle for this game is 48-17 in favor of the dog.

This is choke city for the Vikings. So far they've played free of worries, carefree like young dogs. Not anymore. Tonight they face a Bears teams, with a solid QB (not much tape on the guy!), wondering why the hell they're a DD dog. Go back five years and see how often the Bears have lost ATS when dogged by 10 or more pts. This is Peterson hype, and he already had a great game against Chicago. Pride kicking in for the Bears.

    Chicago +10.5 and CHI ML

All the books know that your coming for the vikes in this I see no value in the vikes -10 1/2......... I see it as me being priced out of it I like the over in this game.... If the vikes control this game wich they should. I cant see them care too much about giving up a few early or late 6 pointers to the crap bears offence... overs for me

6 times since 2002-03. 4-2 ATS. In other words, highly inconclusive and completely irrelevant.

First of all, the present group never got a dog tag of more than one TD in the last two years. They know tonight's spread, and will likely consider it an insult.

    Going back further:
    2004 at MIN (!): CHI +11 loses 22-27 (W)
    2003 at DEN: CHI +10.5 wins 19-10 (W)
    2003 at SEA: CHI +11 loses 17-24 (W)
    2002 at MIA: CHI +10 loses 9-27 (L)
    2002 at STL: CHI +10.5 loses 16-21 (W)

Quite relevant, because it reflects on the team culture. Not a single ATS loss when dogged by more than 10 pts.

3 of the last 5 times they played in Minnesota! 34-10, 24-13, 25-7.

That said, the Bears ARE 4-1 ATS as double-digit underdogs.

All of this aside, I am passing on this game. If I had a gun to my head, I would lean to Bears and Under, but I see better betting opportunities in other sports tonight.
