How do you know smart money isn't making up a large part of that 70% on the Pats?

If betting against a strong public play was a winning system consistently, then people way smarter than me would have already figured that out a long time ago & exploited it. Shortly after that, the books would catch on and account for that.

Where are these numbers coming from anyway? Who has acces to them?

I disagree with the logic of going against the Pats based on there being a high percentage of money on them. "3" is a hard number to move off of. You'll probably see it come down to 2.5 on Saturday.

If this logic is right, then in basketball, why not bet against Duke every game? I'm sure that for the general public, they either bet on Duke or don't bet the game. They are always a huge public favorite.

I think if you like Denver by capping the game, then take Denver. But don't base your wager on this type of logic.
