I really haven't looked into this one that much, but my early thoughts are Denver -3

First off, let me say congrats img on your Pitt pick this past weekend. I was on the boat with you but didn't post your thread (supersticous I would jinx myself as I needed Pitt to finish off a big parlay).

Of the four games this weekend, this is the one I really really like. I'm already on the Pats +3. The defending champs will bring it to the Broncos this week. Denver's weak pass defense will be exposed by Brady/Belichick. Also, Pats have much healthier defense this time around and should be able to slow down the Denver rushing attack. I'm not sold on Plummer yet. He has had a relatively mistake-free season, much unlike his history. I think he turns it over once or twice in this one. Expect Tedy Bruschi back on Pats D as well in this one. Defending champs will make it to Indy. Take the Pats plus the 3 or moneyline.

Denver hasn't proven shit yet. Patriots are white hot just when they need to be. Denver is just about ready for the annual post season fold. The Pats just win when it comes to playoffs. Pats have got to be the play, especially with this line.

Their classic fold will come in the AFC championship in Indianapolis again.

I would say the value is with the Defending champions getting 3 points. Brady is 11-0 in the playoffs, and are peaking at the right time. Broncos have a unproven QB. Id take the experience and the points in this one.

Definitely the best bet of the 4 games. As maritime said in another thread, this Pats team is different than the earlier game at Denver, mainly cuz they have their strong Defensive Line back in action.

By far the best play, and the bookies have got the lines set-up to sucka punch the public who bases their bets on the previous game without much research. Of course it's still possible the Broncos could win it, anything's possible (UT proved it) so I couldn't say betting 1/2 your bankroll is a grand idea, but the 5 units on the pats +3 is a great bet. The other games' spreads are too high and the Panthers game is too close to call.

And actually, i'm gonna forego the points and take the pats to win it.

i agree looker, and thats where my money will be as well on this game.

when they met earlier in the season, the pats were perty banged up. but, they still only lost by 8 points. now granted, the game wasn't as close as the score dictates, but the fact still remains that the pats never gave up in the game.

I don't write off the earlier Patriots-Denver game being a blowout. Yeah, Denver was up what 4 TDs, but Brady fought back and almost sent that sucker into OT. Broncos have been coughing up big leads all season. Yeah, Denver did get the lead in the first place, but something is lacking on that team. Denver needs to play a certain way to win. Belichick should be able to force Denver away from the power running game. Then it's all over for Denver.

the only thing i am concerned about in this game is the thin air of mile high stadium, or investco field as everyone else seems to call it nowadays.

The Patriots are getting way too much credit here. Unlike past years they are playing these games on the road people. I still need to cap this game more in depth, but I really think Denver rolls in this one.

Patriots actually didn't look that good to me in their win over Jags even with the 28-3 win. There was something off with them. I didn't like how Dillon looked.

They are sure counting their blessings the Steelers won so they don't have to play Indy because their dynasty would be over for sure if they had to travel to Indy this week in the dome. But it could just be delaying the inevitable by one week ;p

Against Denver though, they will have a shot. They are gonna be going heavily to try to shut down Denver's 3-headed running back monster and hope Jake reverts back to his old turnover days. Denver is setup in a similiar situation to past those past super bowl years. But this time around they have 3 solid running backs, but not one great like like Terrell Davis one. So maybe the Pats can put the clamp down on them. I'd say this game is basically a pick 'em, but since Patriots are +3 underdogs I think the play is on them if you have to bet on this game.

I agree PATS offense didn't look all that good. But
there D looked awesome. And that has always been
there key. Denver is solid. But Brady Vs Plummer????

Gotta go with Brady.. Belichick is a mad genius..
11-0 in playoffs-Brady is.. Hard 2 argue with that,
    he just steps it up..

I relly think this game comes down to both teams game plan.

I think it comes down to Denver trying to make the Pats beat them with the run ( trying to take Brady out of the game) I could see alot of nickel/dime defense with alot of zone blitz.

I see the Pats trying to shut down Denvers running game and trying to make Plummer beat them. The Pats secondary while seem to be on the rise, are still a little rough back there.

I have yet to cap it, and just my first thoughts.
Ought to be a hell of a game.

sorry Imgv94, have to take the Broncos -3 on this one. Although NE is teh defending champs I think the rest and the altitude along with Denvers backs will be too much for Brady and CO. I think Denver will control the tempo of the game and cover. Denver 27 NE 20

I like the way the Broncos -3 Denver finished strong at 13-3, 8-0 at home. I think this team is solid if you look at numbers Denver out ranks NE in every major category, we all know NE is a different team then the first half of the year. Also I was not that impressed with NE last week as far as first half went; my play would be for Denver at home -3

good this is exactly what I wanted people!!!! exactly!!! 10 minds are
better than 1. We can all put our minds together and come up with the
winner. I am not in love NE in this one. There Offense didn't look so
great, and Denver is as solid as they come. But its Brady Vs Plummer
and your getting 3.5pts??? can't deny myself that brady is 11-0 in
    plyoffs

I've capped this game over & over and I keep coming back to New England plus the points. Nobody said Denver isn't a solid team. But are they good enough to beat the defending champs when it counts. No. Take the Pats plus the points. Pats & Indy rematch the following week.

Exactly, I think Denver is a slightly better team and has home field but of course can't go against Brady and Bellicheck in the playoffs which puts it back to pick 'em. I honestly have no idea who is gonna win this game. I can say the same for the over/under totals too...no clue at all!

I am gonna be rooting for Denver though I am tired of the Pats, and it is time for them to go down...end the dynasty! No more stupid **** "pocket of protection" commercials or diet pepsi machine playing for the Pats commericals. If it doesn't end for them this week I am very confident it will vs. Indy the following.

So I dunno if I should bet on Pats so I just may not place any bets on this game and just sit back and watch and root for the Broncos. But I still think the value would be to take them at +3 or +3.5...or even the moneyline if I had to bet on anything on this game.

I am going with the Pats ML and the points. Every year I bet against them thinking they are not all that great and every year I get burned. If they lose so be it but at least my streak will be over.

alot of people are in that boat, I was like that. last year I made a 10 unit
wager on Indy against the Pats in the AFC championship game.

Is there any way I take Jake Plummer over Tom Brady?
Is there any way I take Mike Shanahan over Bill Belifuk?

    No and No.
