The Bears with Grossman should be able to move the ball and score off that Carolina defense. As great as the Bears defense has been, I really believe Carolina will get their fair share also. Carolina will protect their qb alot better than in their 13-3 loss earlier in the season. I have no opinion on the side, but love the over.

over 30.5?? If Carolina wins I think it will go over. But If You like chicago,
under should win.. I can see a 13-9 score if Bears win. If carolina wins
    I see it 24-21..

I'm sold on Grossman being +7 points better than Orton, so taking o30.5 is manditory. I'm not sold on Grossman not breaking his ankle on the second play from scrimmage, though. lmao.

I'm on the Bears -3 as well. I might try to buy down to -2.5 just in case, though. The way the line is moving, it might get there anyway.

I respect Carolina from top to bottom, they are a solid team. Thing is, so is Chicago. Now with Grossman in there, they should have something better than a non-existant passing game, which really improves this team overall. Plus, Chicago in January. Who knows what the weather will be like.

That is one of the funniest lines I have heard all year. My friends and I are always joking around and taking polls to see how long he'll play before he's out another year, lol.

I really like Carolina again this week. They are proven on the road and the Bears (like Tampa and NY Giants) have an unproven QB in a big playoff game.

Big key for Carolina is getting a lead. Last time, Bears scored right away and were up 7-0, putting Carolina in a tough spot early and I think they got rattled a little. I like them to bounce back this week and meet Seattle in the NFC title game next week.

Chicago is different than the Bucs and Giants. Chicago could play Thomas Jones at QB and probably win 9-7. Having a QB with any ability whatsoever has to be better than playing a RB at QB.

Grossman is definatly worth 7 more points than Orton slacker. Atleast Grossman takes shots down the feild. My only fear is that Grossman will try to force the ball into double coverage. He has been known to throw a pick or two.

I'm thinking the Carolina ML might be the way to play this game.

I'll state the obvious - If Carolina can Crack Chicago's D, they got it...but that's not easy. It's a tough call. Carolina makes a few big plays and runs away with it OR Chicago holds em back and wins it thru sheer tenacity and stubborness, which they do often. I will play the under 30.5 based on Da Bears ability to hold back the points, especially at home. not gonna even try to pick who wins this one and recommend action on it.

    Under 30 2 Units

Will say it again...hate trying to pick against or for Carolina this season. Dunno if on defense if they will shut down like last week or give up 200 yards rushing to a Jones(Thomas' brother) or put the clamps on like Tiki last week.

I could be going back and forth all week but I think at this point Panthers would be my pick at +3.

Hey Points can be scored with Defense right?? Carolina has an offense
and I know will try to make amends for only scoring 3pts. Over 30 Looks
outstanding to me. Also Teasing down to 23 looks yummy.

Kind of like onlookers wife erin andrews..LOL

Carolina can try as hard as they may to make up for scoring only 3 last time, but Chicago sure as hell won't let them easily. If Carolina's Off Coordinator is able to find a Hole in Da Bears D, then they'll crack em... but that hoie is TIGHT! anyway, this is really a coin toss, with a slight edge for the score being under 30. Over 23 is a much safer bet than over 30, but i still wouldn't take it.

If ya look at the 8 Home games for chicago. They went over 30 pts only 3 of the 8 games. And of the 3 games that went over, they were the first 3 home games... After the first 3 home games, the D gave up very little points. and of the 3 Games that went over 30, 2 of em are because Chicago put up points to push em over. Chicago D allowed 61 pts to the Visiting Team during the season, out of 8 games = 7.625 pts / HOME game... you'd be asking a lot of Carolina and/or Chicago Offense to put up a lot of points...

I'd have to take the Under 30 if I were to bet.

Who cares about the weather? These teams could play on the moon and not put three consecutive first downs together against the defenses they are facing.

So you like the under Razz?? Defense's score points too ya know???

We all know Bears have that kind of defense especially @ home to

Score some pts.. Razz be careful with any under bet.. Carolina

will score at least 14 in this one.

There are two inconsistent factors in this game...

    Carolina's Team
    Chicago's Weather

Those factors are enough to keep me away from the spread and the total.

If I had to do something with this game, I would say that this is the end of the road for Chicago. The X-factor will be Mushin Muhammad and his desire to prove himself against his old team. He will have a huge day if Grossman can get him the ball, but that is a big IF. Keep in mind that Rex is not a starting QB on 8 out of 10 NFL rosters.

I expect Rex will turn the ball over and Carolina will win SU.

I still can't get a handle on this side, so I'm gonna pass. If Rex doesn't throw any picks than the Bears win easy. If Rex throws a few int's Carolina wins in a close game.

Carolina ML has some value. but Bears @ home, will that scary D???

Good idea to just Watch. Or tease 6.5 both ways and get Bears +3.5 and
Panthers +9.5 hey that sounds great doesn't it??? Damn I think
I have the bet here!!! bet these 2 win both teasers..

    Carolina +9.5
    Indy -3.5

    Chicago +3.5
    Indy -3.5

    HUGE UNITS BABY!! who agrees??

I personally think you would be better off taking Carolina +9.5 instead of the Bears +3.5.
