Default Grab Indy -3 vs Houston NOW!!!

Brian Cushing, Houston's best LB, has been suspended for the first four games of the season for steroids. This is a huge hit for the Texans. He will not be around for the home games against Indy and Dallas, and away games against Washington and Oakland. Did a potential 3-1 start just turn into a potential 1-3 start?

seriously no one is going to bet on a game like this now with all the injuries and other situations that could arise, good day

The Colts haven't covered the spread in Week 1 since the 07-08 season against the Saints at home. ATS:-5.5 Score:41-10

The fact that the Colts have not covered since the 07-08 season is really meaningless because it only covers two years. The fact is that Houston has also not covered the spread in week 1 in that exact same time frame.

Texans ML. It's finally time for Houston to make something.

No need to rush to bet this, the line isn't going anywhere. Who remembers the Vikings opening last year -3 against the Browns? That line was set long before we knew if they were getting Favre, and once he announced he was returning with them the line didn't budge. It's going to take a whole lot more than no Cushing to move this line

First weeks are great to bet, since we have more time to gather information and place good bets (well, maybe I'm just saying that because I was 14-2 last year at the first week (which wasn't, actually, that hard to predict)).

If the line moves, it won't be due to Brian's suspension, believe me.
And I agree with the guy who said this will be a -3 Indy game even with Cushing playing healthy.
The greatest potential for this game is the OVER, even though I still need to go look the line that's being offered us.

    GL all!

There's actually a ton of value Week 1 of the NFL season, I'm 10-1 ATS over the last two years in week 1. It's Week 2 and 3 you have to watch out for... people read too much into what they saw the first Week and make poor plays as a result

    Actually, nevermind what I said.

I noticed that the Colts can cover the spread against the Texans if the ATS is at -3. But if the ATS goes to -9, then do not bet on the Colts.

Lesson for noobs: Don't bet steam based on BigdaddyHQ's insights.

If anything, the line has moved towards the Texans.

Waaaaaaaay too early to consider that. Also, Houston put up 2 good fights against Indy last year.

Houston always plays indy tough for whatever reason. I've lost a few games to the spread

If Peyton gets injured in the 2nd preseason game and is out for the Texans game, what does this line change to? Texans -7 ?

If Peyton is injured. I think the line will be around at Texans -9 or -10.

Aren't you the same guy who mocked people who took Celtics +850 to win the series vs the Cavs?

A suspended linebacker will move a number off 3 for a game months away.

    Another gem from BigDaddyQH. LOL!

WR Andre Johnson not approving of his contract, could have a factor on this.

So much for trying for the early grab, the line hasn't changed in months. Nice try, but... FAIL!

Texans is the play. It's their year, i think.

Every year this happens. Yes COLTS -3 is good, but wait for the moneyline option!
