The Saints won the last Super Bowl, so they are the best.

How do you figure? He said who's the best, not who's the best next year.

If he's talking about next year, we don't know yet. That's why they play the games.

Since he posted this now, im assuming we are talking about now.. and most teams already have all their key players in place for next year.... seeing we are past FA and the draft its hard to look back

The Aints were given the Super Bowl that doesn't make them best. Give me a break. They need to erect a big fence around New Orleans and not let anyone out.

    Best Quarterback: Peyton Manning
    Best Runningback: Chris Johnson
    Best Cornerback: Darrelle Revis

Best NFL team from best to worst:

    1. Vikings
    2. Saints
    3. Patriots
    4. Colts
    5. Jets / Ravens
    6. Packers / Cowboys / Chargers / Bengals / Steelers / Dolphins
    7. 49ers / Titans / Giants / Texans / Falcons / Eagles? Cardinals? Redskins? Bills? Raiders? Broncos? Bears?

I don't have a good read on the average to worst teams.

All teams are 0-0 right now, then. It's May. There's probably only a dozen teams that can be absolutely ruled out for winning the Super Bowl next year. Even teams as bad as the 4-12 Redskins have a solid shot at becoming the best with an experienced HC, QB and solid defense. Who would have expected the Saints, who were last place in their division, to turn around and win the Super Bowl? My point is that a LOT of teams can be argued for being the best, until the games actually start getting played.
