Texans +3 at home versus Indy looks like the best bet.

Redskins +3 1/2 at home versus Dallas looks great as well.

49ers +1 vs Seahawks, in Pete Carroll's first regular season game back in the NFL. Books must be anticipating a lot of Carroll love from the public.

In any case, I'm leaning Vikes. It's the rubber match and the Vikings want revenge. Saints still hungover from bourbon street parties all night long.

I predict that the Broncos, Dolphins, Packers, 49ers and Colts will cover the spread.

What amazes me is how early these lines came out. The day after the draft. So if you make a wager now, the book holds your money for months. This is how desperate some books are getting. They need your money now, to pay off the hockey and hoops post season.

More like they know that people are stupid enough to bet on games 5 months ahead of time before training camp even begins... Hey if I was a bookie I'd be more than happy to take bets at this point of the year.... Who do you think has the advantage???

It is way too early to take anyone now. If this were the usual two weeks or so before the first regular season game, that would be one thing. But we are talking months before the first game. The way Goodell is suspending people, who knows what will happen by September 7th. Then there are the pre-season injuries to contend with.

Rule of thumb: no one can cap in the NFL until the first 4 weeks of regular season is played and somewhat of identity is made, any NFL capping before this is just being on the lucky side of the coin flip

It would be interesting to know) What is the opening day record (last 5 years) of the teams in playing at home for week 1. (Speaks to preparation)

Yea, I heard about this rule on a prediction betting site as well. I'm assuming it had to do with the bye weeks? And to see how the new players are effecting their teams.

It is far too early for me. You don't know about injuries at all. I wouldn't bet anything until you find out in the preseason if anyone gets hurt. It would be crazy to bet any of this until we find out what happens.

Whie it is way too early to place wagers, Dallas -3 1/2 looks good. After all, isn't McChoke their new QB, and wasn't he limited to 14 points for the entire SEASON against Dallas last year, with a team that was a lot better than this one will be? Philly's other points came on FG's and a Mike Vick TD Pass.
