Default Steve Young on espn's draft

Steve Young was horriable commentating the draft last night, He evedently knows little about what he is talking about, he also kept interupting the others on the show. Nothing worse than an dumb ass who thinks they know it all and refuse to shut up. He made a complete ass of himself.

I'd like them more if they got rid of Prime Time and Irvin.

the prime time comment on the raiders was awesome (when the former texas walked from the green room)

Everyone but Tom Jackson, Gruden, and Schefter really dropped the ball for ESPN. Berman was caught on camera thinking he was off air several times, Kiper's big board was not even close and Young would only add obvious statements.

Gruden was sharp. The rest were fools. It is the same way every year.

Mcshay is terrible...Everyone else on the set at least behaves like an Adult. Mcshay acts like the nerdy/punk kid on the football team.

Obviously I'm in the minority here but I like Young. And I'd venture to say he knows more about playing QB in the NFL than everyone on this board combined...

Granted he knows a damn good deal about being a QB,but Young is no where near a draft analyst. I suppose having a law degree from BYU and a few Rings can make up his lack of analysis.

Someone needs to hide the scotch next year. It's maddening when they try to shout over each other to get their points across.

Steve Young can join Mike Schmidt in the "can somebody take the microphone away from this hall of famer for the love of god" club.

He's got TWO rings. One of them was sitting behind Joe Montana as he beat Elway 55-10 in 1989. Bubby Brister has two rings as well, backing up Elway. Are we really counting benchwarmer rings?

I watched 0 minutes of this stuff - so refreshing to avoid tv and writeups about the draft.

One of my roommates barely follows sports. I envy the guy. Following sports is an addiction.

**** Steve Young, he's so shit @ this stuff. Gruden kept it fresh but Young wouldn't let him ever talk.

Are you really comparing Steve Young, Hall of Famer, with Bubby Brister??? Really???

steve young has one downfall: he thinks he's perfect.

Yea, can't say I agreed with Young much. Most of the things he said, made no sense, but I guess I never was in the NFL... Unless the Raiders draft me within the next 5 years!!

Ok, then Jim McMahon. He's got two rings exactly the same way as Steve Young. One starting for a team so stacked they could have won with a wide array of QBs and one backing up one of the greatest of all time. Point taken, Jim McMahon is a better comparison regarding Super Bowl rings.

Agreed...which is why I try to stick to NFL network...although espn was a little bit ahead in the announcements of each player
