Default Vikings should trade #30 overall pick for McNabb. Agree?

Vikings shouldnt wait till favre makes a decision and deal the #30 overall pick to Philadelphia.

What if Favre decides he just cant endure another season physically and mentally and the Vikes miss out on McNabb?

    Make the trade Vikings. Thoughts?

how is McNabb overrated??? Have you never counted how many pro bowls hes went to or looked at his stats? People treat this guy like trash when hes been one the top 5 qb's the last 4 or 5 years. I'm not even an eagles fan either. The only reason id trade the guy is bc in 3 or 4 years he will be old and not worth anything.

If they got Mcnabb Favre wouldn't come and vice versa.

I hope the Raiders get him. Not a fan of the team, but I'm sick of watching Russell play QB for them, when the Raiders are the only game on tv here in the Bay Area.

McNabb is not the missing piece for ANY championship caliber team. Just a good player, nothing more, nothing less.

    pffffft.

pro bowls? lol. He's never made a NFL All-Pro team, an awards that carries some actual weight.

and his stats are...ok. under 58% completion percentage (just above Bobby Hebert and below Elvis Grbac on the all-time list), 86.5 rating (slightly better than Trent Green and David Garrard in the all-time list).

Favre is coming back. Fwiw, McNabb wants to play for the Vikings. He has a lot of bargaining power because he doesn't have to sign an extension with the team that trades for him which would make his value much less than what the Eagles are asking for. I expect that this will drag on until after the draft. I would be more surprised if Favre doesn't come back than if he did, so by the time training camp rolls around, the Eagles would make the Vikings pay a steep price considering they are both contenders in the NFC.

i am birds fan but he will always be in the category with jim kelly. although kelly is a hall of famer. they both just cant win the big game. this is how your legacys are made and quite frankly macnabb will always be known for gettin there but just couldnt do it. posters dont take this post the wrong way i am not sayin his caliber of play is anything like jim kellys just sayin neither of them could win the big game when needed to most. but if mcnabb got over those nfc championship losses he would probably be in the record books next to kelly for consecutive sb appearances and no ring

and quite frankly it is time for him 2 go. get the chemistry started with the kids and stop wasting the fans and the franchise time with another year with mcnabb behind center that is just gonna end in the same result. i dont care where he goes just as long as its worth the return in piks or players. mcnabbs salary could open some space for say hmmmmmmm a brandon marshall

I think they should...All the Vikes need is a pretty good QB. And Mcnabb qualifies as"pretty good."

The Viqueens dont need another " washed up..has been " QB...

    They need a Rogers...a Romo....a Schaub.....

They need to start at Square 1...

The QB's currently on the roster couldnt beat Alabama on a good day..

The Vikes would be making a huge mistake trading a #1 for McNabb. You can get him for a #2, and teams are balking at that. McNabb is a loser. He earned his name McChoke in the big games. He is very vulnerable to injury. He is a loser. His stats are blown completely out of porportion. What were his stats in crunch time?

As a die-hard purple bleeding viking season ticket holder I'd much rather have McNabb for 4 to 5 years over #4 for 1 more.

We won't know if it's a good idea until September when Favre decides whether he's going to play another season.

I think Chilly may be thinking the exact same thing. McNabb may not be much for heroic comebacks, but he'd never heave the game away like Favre did in the NFC championship.

McNabb is a downgrade from Favre, he doesn't know the offense. Why would you give up a high 2nd round draft pick for a 1 year rent a QB.

You wouldn't last 1 day as a NFL exec.

This idea is a joke. Which is why the Eagles are releasing all these rumor's...nobody is interested. They will be lucky to get a 3rd and a 5th.

I agree. McNabb could lead the Vikes to a playoff spot, but so could just about any other QB. Can he lead them to a championship? Absolutely not. He could not lead Philly to a championship when they had great teams. Why would anyone think that he could do it now? His performance against Dallas in the last two games of last season was, in a word, terrible. I also agree that the Eagles have decided to get rid of him, before 5/5, so they do nothave to pay him a big bonus. If the Eagles are samrt, they will grab what they can. Buffalo is probably their best bet.

mcnabb would be great on the vikings, id prefer to see him in san francisco personally cuz alex smith sucks but the vikings with him would be a force, and his ego isn't brett favresque so that will help

I would be happy to give him to Minny for a 2nd round pick. I love Mcnabb to death but this team needs to rebuild and thrive under a new leader.

There is a 100% chance that Mr. Favre is coming back so this is a mute point. McNabb should go to AZ.

#30 overall is a little steep for a team like the Vikings that aren't that desperate for a QB.

Favre is coming back, plus TJack & Rosenflux combo could stumble them into the playoffs without Favre.

I do think McNabb would be an upgrade for the Vikings, but it's not really worth a first rounder.
