Not a fan of this move, I think LT looks done. I don't understand why they would pay him the same money they could have paid Thomas Jones.

They should've just kept Thomas Jones. This makes no sense.

I just don't understand how they can let thomas jones walk refusing to pay him less money than they are paying L.T. even tho Thomas Jones had a MUCH more productive year.....Jets are stupid and patriots will remain the top of the AFC east! GO PATS!!

this is interesting, the jets ol is superb, but why let go jones and bring a expensive replacement with same age risks

odds on Thomas Jones having some injury the Jets aren't being forthcoming about? Because if everything is as it seems, this makes zero sense. 3rd down back at minny seemed like a done deal, and logical.

Something is going on here. L.T. makes sense, but that is after the fact that they let Jones go. For some reason, theywanted nothing to do with him.

I thought a pretty risky move also, but they have a plan I am sure. Whether it works or not, only time will tell. They just need to keep the same tough defense and if they can be consistent in that area, they will be good and dangerous for awhile.

Cry Baby LT signing for the Jets will have little impact.

they will dump him like the dumped jones in a year or two

won't matter if he gets 3,000 yards

I hate the fact that LT is no longer a Charger, but LT needed a run-first offense, and the Jets are a run-first offense, so that explains the deal from LT's perspective, but I'm still not sure about the deal from the Jet's perspective.

Anyways, here is an article about LT on the Jets site: http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/arti...for-themselves

Doesn't matter either way, they have a top 10 back in Shonn Greene. He now has one of the greatest ever to coach/spell him. Whether they kept T. Jones or picked up LT2, Greene was going to be the starter next year.

most likely. I was surprised they dumped jones and didn't go younger. I almost feel like having jones would have been better than picking up LT. Could work out for a season or two I suppose

Thomas Jones must be a locker room cancer the way he bounces from team to team.

LT will be playing behind one of the best o-lines in an offense he is familiar with. I expect big things from LT next season and will be rooting for him and the Jets unless they're up against my chargers.

Default jets going look good next year

prediction gonna make it to the play off again this year

Yeah, exactly. LT needed a martyball-run system of offense, which the Jets are running under Marty's son, their OC. LT was never the same under Norv's pass-happy system of offense, so a move to the Jets should revitalize him somewhat. Also, the Jets OL with Mangold, Faneca, and Ferguson is arguably the best in the league, or at least top 5, so that is exactly what LT needs at this point in his career.

It's gonna look weird seeing LT in a different jersey, but I can't wait to see what he does with the Jets.

I like LT but i think this was a dumb move on the jets part. He def needed to go to a team with a very strong backfield and get limited carries the rest of his career.
