Default Anquan Boldin wants the Steelers

    By James Walker espn.com
On Tuesday the AFC North blog ran a feature on new Baltimore Ravens receiver Anquan Boldin. But there was one interesting angle that we weren't able to get to.
Without yet putting on a jersey, Boldin already sounds like a Raven. The former Arizona Cardinals receiver wants a piece of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

"I'm seeking a little revenge on Pittsburgh anyways," Boldin said of the Rivalry. "They beat us in the Super Bowl, so I'm definitely looking forward to that matchup. The AFC North has always been a tough, hard-nosed conference, and I’m definitely looking forward to getting in there and mixing it up. Like I said, I am excited about the opportunity."

Boldin will get his wish twice a year with the Ravens. Here are Boldin's career numbers against the Steelers and the rest of the AFC North.
I can see he wants to sit out the season calling out Pitts D Locker room talk already gee give Pitt something to work up on and stop thinking about Ben

That a boy, Bolden. Kick Steeler butt! I know, he could dress like a girl and make sure Roethlisberger's next sexual harassment act is his last!

Roethlisberger will get familiar with a different kind of steel.

Pittsburgh is over the hill anyway. They need to find a new qb becuase big ben clearly isnt mature enough to do anything right.

The same "defense" that gave up 27 to the Lions and the Chiefs?

Great idea Anquan, give 'em some locker room material, why not?

Not the smartest idea ever calling out the Steelers D but hopefully Boldin can burn them because I'm sick of Big Ben.

no danger in calling out steelers D, but not a good idea when you dont have QB to throw to you.

What's wrong with Flacco? He was a pretty good QB last year on a team whos best receiver was 36 years old

Raven players often talk trash; this is nothing new. I like trash talk that is original/creative, not when it's been done before. For instance, guaranteeing a victory is old and mundane now.

As Z_Wipf implied, Flacco is considered by most to be an above average QB with a previously poor receiving corps.

this was a good move for the ravens. they win the division hands down.

Boldin is a tough call right now. Hopefully the Ravens will not regret taking a chance on him.

Yeah without good receivers he would struggle but with Boldin, Derrick Mason, Kelly Washington and Donte Stallworth (along with a good running game with Ray rice) I expect this to be his best year

Great move for the Ravens. I'm not really a fan of the trash talk, though.

Are you guys reading the same quote I am? All he said was he wanted revenge and paid a compliment to the division in general. It wasn't like he said "man, that D is over the hill, I'm looking forward to running them over!" Sounded totally respectful

There's no locker room motivation in this one.

It's something that you have to say if you're going to play for the Ravens. Everyone on their team has swagger.

d-line is old, Farrior is old. that D is ripe for the taking this year. unless you can't throw the ball, then you are in trouble. anyone with a passing game will shred them.

The AFC North should be interesting this year with all of the offseason moves.
