it is their contention that the integrity of the game would be worse off due to legalized gambling, than the multi-billion $$$$$$$$ a year illegal gambling that currently occurs?

that might be one of the most illogical statements ever. kind of like Obama saying he would rather be a great one-term president than a mediocre two term. ass fukk, if you were a great one-term you would get re-elected. but in your mind to be great you will have to have governed against the will of the people.

so why doesn't anyone call the NFL on this bullshit and obviously phony stance?

or is Goodell so clueless he doesn't know that billions are wagered offshore every year?

what does he think his TV ratings would be if there were no gambling?

you know what, i am done whining about shit like this. i am going to begin e-mailing the NFL, sports writers and anyone else i can think of to pose this question. time to action people.

I'm actually surprised they haven't legalized sports betting yet. State takes a cut of the action and they can use it to fill some holes in the budget.

i guess for now the states are making enough off of the lotteries that are based on nothing more than luck, games of chance as it were. seems they are scared of any outcome that might involve skill. funny lawmakers look to europe for some many other bullshit things, but would never look at legalized gambling and it's effects on society and taxes.

While I'm sure there are many fans who don't gamble, it can't hurt to legalize it. Legalizing things that are ridiculously illegal then taxing them...this could help out with in a few areas.
