    Default The B Marshall Question

If I was a good team lacking a great wide receiver. Maybe like a Bengals or someone you feel has a need, or maybe even Ravens (though they just got Boldin). I would say Miami but I am not sure if you want to give up the 12th pick for Marshall. Wouldn't you try to get Brandon Marshall and give him a good sized contract and give your 1st round pick.

Can someone explain why this is maybe not a good idea.

other than "character" issues, I don't see any reason to not go after him

It seems the worst is behind him, but at least you know exactly what you are getting. There must be money issues or something, because I'd rather get this guy than most of these players and definitely any wide receiver in this draft.

Id say the ravens would go after T.O. before they went after Marshall. I heard a lot of talk about Marshall to Dallas because they really need a number 1 receiver now that Roy Will is a flop, they have Austin but you can only do so much with only one threat. Jones has no problem spending money and loves to bring in big names (see Owens)

I think the Cowboys and Jets have the best chance right now

Is the pick that would have to be given up for this years draft, or next?

yeah these character issues are vastly overrated. get a good player in a good system, and he wont be a problem

I don't think he will go to the Ravens but ya put him in a locker room with Ray Lewis...well I wouldn't be dumb enough to screw around (like he did at that one pre-season Broncos practice) with an acquitted murderer especially one as intimidating as Lewis.
