    Default LT Dismissed By SanDiego

This team has let another hall of fame player go .Whoever picks him up might have a good run at the Superbowl

LT is washed. Backup RB the rest of the way. Top 10 all time in his prime, no doubt.

LT can no longer carry the load and would be a decent option for a team that features two backs. He was great to watch in his prime.

Sure LT has lost a step, but can still be of value as a good situational RB on a contender. IMO

SD traded the wrong RB and QB, should have kept Brees and the RB playing for Atlanta

Only because, he prob only goes to a good team...Dude is garbage these days...Might win a Karl Malone championship...Best case scenario is to be how Marcus Allen was late in his career.

With Leinart starting, the Cards will become more of a running team. They could use LT. Would be a very good scenario where he can teach Beanie Wells.

Who would really choose Michael Turner over LT in 2007? Who would really choose a QB with a jacked up shoulder that was ready to become a free agent over a young 1st round QB? You really don't have a clue buddy.

LT is done, career over, can't explode which he thinks otherwise with these athletes big ego's. He stated that he was going to prove people wrong, but that didn't happen. Its a fact the RB's don't last long. Only reason to bring him on board is to teach the younger guys. Now Barry SAnders was a different beast, he was something to watch.

LT's career is not over. Could be a good pick up if the price is right.

Good call. Otherwise, I'm scratching my head trying to find a home for LT.

He'll go to the Vikings or Colts. Those two teams have their hands tied because of the "final 4 rule" but can sign players released from other teams as they wish.

Westbrook released today too. Clinton Portis has a good chance of getting released this offseason as well. Amazing what a couple of years can change

This is where I'd love to see LT go. If not the Saints, then Texans.

Chargers don't need him anymore why would they keep a running back that is on the decline while they have a perfectly good running back in Sproles

i said it when it happened that keeping LT over Turner was a mistake. not just because Turner avg 5.5 YPR in his last season with SD, that was only part of it. the other part was the workload for LT in his first 6 years. over 2,000 attempts? that is fukking 341/yr!!! top 10 for attempts every season? he lasted longer than i thought he would. check the top 10 rushing attempts every season over that time and he is the only name that will be there consistently. these guys take a beating every play. now if little old dipshit me could see that coming, how come Chargers management couldn't?

as for Brees, they let go of a pro bowl QB for an unproven one, with a personality flaw that throws the ball like a fukking shot put. look around the NFL and tell me who enjoys more success at the QB position, under 26 or over 26 years old. the game is so fast and defenses so complex that is extremely difficult to come into the NFL and be good at QB.

look at QB ratings this year and you will Flacco at 13th, the highest ranked young guy on the list. unless a QB is in a unique situation like Roethlisberger was his rookie year, young QBs suck in the NFL. QBs enter their prime at an age where most players have past theirs, in their late 20s or early 30s.

LT is a 5 play per game back now, and nothing more. Next, the Chargers would be in the same position that they are in today no matter who their starting QB was. Rivers has done nothing wrong. Brees could not have done anything better. The bottom line is that San Diego is used to losing in the playoffs. They have become the Chicago Cubs of the NFL. They play in the worst division in the NFL, so running up a great record is not nearly as difficult for them as it is for other teams. But come playoff time, this team has losing in their blood. This starts at the top and works it's way down to the coaches and players. Unless there are wholesale changes in this team, this will not change for the forseeable future.

people are acting like this guy is in his prime... he could be a good pickup to be a back with 5-10 carries, but has to be at a low price. Hes not going to be the reason a team wins a superbowl either
