    Default 2010-2011 Super Bowl futures

I did this poll last year. I'll do it again this year. Something to bump occasionally in the NFL offseason.

Skins at 55-1 seems like great value. By the time free-agency is over and we sign a bunch of high profile players, we'll be up to about 30-1. Happens every year with Snyder writing the checks.

I like the Titans(30:1), Texans(32:1), Jags(55:1). It just seems like some monster odds for those 3 capable teams.

Plus with that kind of hold, I want at least 30x payback.

p.s. I got the odds for this poll from Bodog.

    Packers/Eagles/Baltimore. Take your pick.

I think all three should return to the playoffs this year at the very least.

    By Brobury Sports

The paint is barely dry on New Orleans’ shocking win over Indianapolis in the Super Bowl, and BroburySports.com has the odds for next year.

Pick a team now at BroburySports and get a big return from a small stake.

    Indianapolis
    Colts (+600)

The Colts certainly have the roster to compete next year, but it’s very hard for the losing Super Bowl team to recover. It will be up to dejected quarterback Peyton Manning to get them ready to compete.

    San Diego Chargers (+800)

Running back LaDainian Tomlinson doesn’t expect to be back (not a big loss), but coach Norv Turner just got a contract extension. That’s bad news for long-suffering Chargers’ fans.

    New England Patriots (+1000)

New England has been going in a downward spiral since losing the Super Bowl to the Giants. Tom Brady should be better after having another year to heal his knee, but is this roster championship caliber?

    New Orleans
    Saints (+1000)

AdvertisementDrew Brees will now shoot for his second Super Bowl Ring, but will the Saints play with as much fire next season? The last team to repeat as champion was New England in the 2003-2004 seasons.

    Pittsburgh Steelers (+1000)

Pittsburgh made a great run to almost make the playoffs. This is a team that has a good chance to win a title every year. Nobody wants to meet the Steelers in the playoffs. That’s for sure.

    Green Bay Packers (+1200)

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a very good year, including the playoff loss to Arizona. Packers’ fans are praying that Brett Favre retires to take away the distraction and weaken their NFC North foe.

    Dallas Cowboys (+1200)

The Cowboys looked like they could be Super Bowl bound before losing at Minnesota in the playoffs. The ‘Boys really need home field advantage next year, and for Tony Romo to finally take the next step.

    Minnesota Vikings (+1200)

Brett Favre is saying he might retire for the umpteenth time. Philly’s Donovan McNabb is rumored to be a candidate to replace him. That’s seems like a downgrade even with Favre’s playoff woes.

    Philadelphia Eagles (+1200)

Philly is another squad that does a good job turning over its roster and staying competitive, If McNabb goes to Minnesota, is Kevin Kolb able to lead the Eagles to a title? We don’t think so.

    Other Super Bowl Odds

Baltimore Ravens (+1500) – Great value
New York Jets (+1500) – Great value
    Arizona Cardinals (+3000)
    Atlanta Falcons (+3000)

New York Giants (+3000) – Great value
    Tennessee Titans (+3000)
    Carolina Panthers (+4000)
    Chicago Bears (+4000)
Houston Texans (+4000) – Great value
    Miami Dolphins (+4000)
    San Francisco 49ers (+4000)
    Seattle Seahawks (+4000)
    Denver Broncos (+5000)
    Jacksonville Jaguars (+5000)
    Washington Redskins (+5000)
    Buffalo Bills (+10000)
    Cleveland Browns (+10000)
    Detroit Lions (+10000)
    Kansas City Chiefs (+10000)

Interesting. I chose Colts, Saints and Steelers.

The Texans seems like a better team than the Giants and Titans to make it to playoffs. The Patriots rookie defense makes me not want to bet on them.

The Chargers lost thier RB to free agent and CB to the Jets, thier team is weakened. Kinda like how the Giants lost thier two WRs who were superbowl champs, Titans lost Albert Haynesworth and defensive coordinator, obviously took a toll on thier defense. The Saints losing SS Darren Sharper could effect thier defense. If Troy Polomalu busts his leg again during most of the games, Steelers won't make it to playoffs again.

That's how I view this, lol.

I need to see if Tim Tebow and Sam Bradford can play well in the NFL. There has never been a rookie QB to win the Superbowl, so I should fade the teams that they join.

Haven't even heard them in the discussion for McNabb, but IMO, that'd be a downgrade from Favre if he does retire...

Westbrook to Minny seems like a perfect fit, to me.

When did the Saints last make the playoffs? They've got a ring. How about the Cardinals a year prior. They were one play away from a ring. Always betting on the big favorites is a big mistake.

The Texans are right on the verge of being a great team. The division is tough, I agree. But battling these quality teams within their division over the years has only made them stronger. If they can get into the playoffs, they can make a run.

I voted for value only. Certainly Minny at 14/1 has to be considered. I also like Atlanta at 30/1, seeing as NFC South Champs never repeat. For the AFC, I opted for Baltimore at 20/1. To me, those are the best values, though I do not think that the Ravens and Falcons really have a great shot.

Great analysis, BigdaddyQH. I agree 100%. Falcons were looking good to finish the season. I like teams like that. Ravens can win in the playoffs. Vikings are a tremendous team all around.

I have been known to take a wager or two. My biggest money makers is laying the odds that the mythical BCS Champion and the Super Bowl Champs do not repeat. That is pretty easy money now a days. This year is even better, because you have both Indy and New Orleans under 10/1 along with those perrenial losers from San Diego, at 9/1. I love fading teams that have never won a superbowl at short odds. San Diego has been another big money maker in the past two years. When I make futures wagers, I always look for value because these are nothing more than crap shoots this early in the year.

The Colts haven't won since 2007 and I heard that teams who lost at the Superbowl the year before never won the year after. I would feel stupid if the Colts broke this trend and won the Superbowl for the second time with Peyton Manning.

I believe the Saints may have the potential to be the next Patriots and Steelers. Unless thier 2010 Superbowl run were all lucky wins.

I think the good value bet right now are on the Redskins and Vikings. When preseason comes around, I'll bet the Saints and Steelers.

So far the poll is a fairly even spread. No favorites are jumping out right now.

One thing I've noticed is nobody seems to like the Cowboys, Giants or Bengals. These teams aren't that far away.

This draft is looking extremely great for any team that needs to improve and so far alot of bad teams have improved greatly especially the lions and look to be getting a dominating Defensive player at the 2nd pick

    Not much movement so far.

The biggest change was Redskins going from 55:1 to 28:1 due to McNabb.

Otherwise, the Jags & Seahawks got juicier going from 55:1 to 65:1. I love the Jags at that price.

I did this poll last year too. Snevens picked it right a year before the Saints were crowned.
